A missing chapter

Chapter 9 in Part 4 is missing. The narrator and the quality of the recording are poor, I'm sorry to say. Find a different version of this audiobook.

Horrible Narrator

I just cannot understand how a professional narrator can sound so monotone and boring in her tone of voice. Plus punctuation doesn’t seem to exist for her either. The content is great but the narrator is a deal breaker!!

Terrible Audio

Listened only to a few minutes and had to stop, the audio quality is absolutely terrible, sounds like a lady reading from inside her bath tub!

How to fall asleep and bore people

Had such high expectations for this book but I’m 1.5 hours in and SO bored by it. Maybe it’s the fact it’s on audiobook, maybe it’s the narrator, maybe the content has no relevance in this crazy Covid world. To summarise what I’ve learned so far: Don’t be a d!ck and you’ll probably have a bit more success in life. There you go, I’ve influenced you to save an Audible credit. Now can we be friends? Audible, you’ve lost a friend here. And you’ve influenced me to give up on this yawnfest.

Worst Narrative I experienced

The book is a succession of stories from which you get some pragmatic negotiating skills The narrative is terrible. Intonations makes me fall asleep and as a nonnative English speaker the very strong accent requires me to focus more than normal. Low sound quality (echoing) I normally don’t write reviews but this time the quality is really below acceptable

Poor choice in narrator

BEWARE! It’s an old text written by older man narrated by a young woman who says “axed” instead of asked. Couldn’t even get through more than an hour. Now i’ll have to waste more audible credits to get one that is better matched if I want the content. Irritating as heck.

Very bad narration!

This is the first time I’ve ever had anything negative to say about the narrator of a book on audible. But I cannot help myself, I must comment. This narrator is dry, monotone, and puts me to sleep. Not to mention, she cannot annunciate the English language. She does not do this classic book justice. Strongly strongly suggest that it be redone with a different narrator.

Poor narration

Most of the time pronounces end Ds as Ts. The flow is off. The narrator needs annunciation training.

“Axed”

How did reading the pronunciation of “ask” and “asked” not get fixed prior to publication? I can’t think of any reason other than I got a bad copy of the book. Other than that, I can’t think of a good reason.
