good yet predictable plot, terrible Scots accent!

Easy to listen to, a good pace, general plot was interesting, just a bit predictable and rubbish attempt at a Scottish accent! It should have had multiple readers in my opinion.

Better than expected, moving story

I didn't know what to expect from this, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was quite moving, and the circumstances suffered by the main character were severe and well described. I found that given the psychological change and stress that the main character goes through, that their emotions and thoughts still felt consistent with the character as set out in the beginning. I cheered when certain events took place near the end. An interesting read.
The epilogue almost ruined the book, it introduces new plot lines and resolved them within sentences and also was just overly optimistic and unrealistic, just unnecessary really.
