About this listen

Aiden

Apparently, the trauma from being kidnapped doesn't end when you're rescued, although I'm doing better. I have a roommate who has become family, and we've been adopted by a pack of otherworldly creatures who protect us. I'm still a little jumpy, and most people make me uncomfortable, but baking, therapy, and my daily walks are all helping. The sweet guard dog who follows me around in the woods helps, too. I can tell him anything I want—even how scared I am of my own family. I'm afraid to bring trouble to my new family's doorstep, but I can't end up caged again.

Atlas (aka Fluffy)

I have never belonged. I never knew my parents, and I grew up with a pack of wolves. (Yes, I was literally raised by wolves. Believe me, I see the humor in that too). Wilder found me and adopted me, and I have a pack and a good life. People still make me uncomfortable, though, unless I'm torturing and killing them (only hellbound people—I'm not just some random serial killer). I just like solitude. But there's something about Aiden that calls to my hellhound, and I can't help wanting to protect the sweet human. I'll even put up with being nicknamed Fluffy so long as I get to stay close to him. When I find out he's in danger, I know I can't sit back any longer. The only problem? How will my traumatized human react to finding out I'm not just a guard dog?

Oh god I don’t even know where to start! This is my favourite book out of the 3 and I think I felt every emotion possible reading this!
I cried many times - Aiden struggling really did upset me a lot but I just loved how fluffy had for been there for him. Silent and solid, offering reassurance and safety. It was adorable and so lovely.
I also laughed out loud - all the Hellhounds are funny but Fluffy really made me giggle.. his explanations and interpretations are just simply hilarious!
Q, Liam and Toby had some great moments too! I love how we see Ser pop up and Cass & Kush are still about.
I cannot wait for Sebs book I’m so excited for it!

This author is extremely talented, her imagination is incredible and her ability to really make you feel deeply is amazing. I don’t often reflect while reading but every book I’ve read of hers has really made me stop and think about things in my own life and that’s fairly unusual for me tbh. I can’t explain it properly but she just makes me look inward a lot. I can’t wait to see what she writes next 😊

Hope book 4 is released very soon!!

I LOVE this series!

This series continues to have solid storytelling that’s packed into a low angst, found family, urban Fantasy-ish, banter filled sweet and mostly easygoing story. There are some heavy topics with Aiden’s backstory, a little mystery and fun supernatural elements that makes this series a fun doesn't take itself too seriously read/listen that ends up giving me warm fuzzy feelings.

Aiden is still on the path to recovery from his recent trauma and taking walks with the massive "dog" he has dubbed Fluffy helps... although Fluffy isn't what Aiden thinks and is in fact Atlas the reclusive pack mate and Hellhound brother to the characters we have met already in this series. Atlas is happiest in his wolf/hellhound form and just wants to be beside Aiden and to support him in any way he can. The caretaking and understanding displayed by Atlas/Fluffy is heartachingly sweet and made me smile throughout. The found family/close friendship group vibes in this were fantastic and I really enjoyed each of the characters, their interactions and dynamics.

Some of my favorite parts were between Jude & the Sheriff... i cannot wait to see how the Sheriff reacts when he realises Jude has always been telling him the truth. 😂 I liked the positive representation of therapy throughout this especially as it was centred on a male character as we all know how toxic the world can be regarding people's mental health but especially men's so that was great to read as was the inclusion of platonic affection/cuddling too.

I thouroughly enjoyed listening to Iggy Toma and Alexander Cendese who once again narrated this installment of this series, they really suit their characters and their delivery of the story just added to my overall experience. This is a great addition to this low angst, paranormal, MM romance series and I'm looking forward to whenever book 4 drops on audio in the future. 🌶🌶

"I heard his footsteps, and still I waited. Patience, I told my hellhound. He was itching to get up and run to find our prey, tackle him to the ground, pin him down, and cover his face with licks
Yeah, I know, not what you'd expect. But Aiden wasn't just any prey. He was..
Ours, my hellhound filled in."

"Fire Fluffy turns around to look at me, stops growling, smiles at me with a doggy smile, and wags his tail. In the next breath he's looking back at the guy and growling again. Ok, then. Fire Fluffy is friendly. At least to me."

"You are everything, and I have gotten comfort and joy from being with you. I like hearing you talk I will take whatever you give me, and I will be thankful for it." he whispered against my ear. "You are my pack. You are my mate."'

Great Addition To The Series

It’s a great story in the series. I really like that it’s okay to be sad and have trauma.
