Summary

When you’re managing managers, your responsibilities are two-fold: you need to make sure they’re producing good work (as with any employee) and that they’re effectively supporting their teams. You might know how to do the former, but how do you do the latter? Do you need to provide training? Coaching? And how do you serve as a good role model?

Women disparaged and no suggestions for rectifying the situation!!!

I’ve had enough of this episode. The author makes a comment that women managers can’t speak to male direct reports in the same manner that men speak to direct reports and be as effective. Fair enough, but there is ZERO follow up. Nothing. No comment about how unfair this is. No suggestions on how women are “supposed “ to talk to men that would help them be more effective. Nada. I call BS.
