Summary

There are no douchebags in this story.

Well, there are, but they're not who this story is about.

This story is about me - the coach's daughter.

When I moved to Iowa to live with my dad, the university's take-no-prisoners wrestling coach, I thought transferring would be easy as pie - living with my father would be temporary, and he'd make sure his douchebag wrestlers left me alone.

Wrong on both counts.

Assholes always come out of the woodwork when the stakes are high.

A bet is placed, and I'm on the table. After one humiliating night and too much alcohol, I find the last nice guy on campus. And when he offers to rent me his spare bedroom, I go all in. It's time for the nice guy to finish first.

Midnight chats and spilling my problems turn to lingering touches. Lingering touches turn to more.

And the ultimate good guy has the potential do more damage than any douchebags ever could.

Second Time for the Win

Ahh ok so I tried this book a while ago and it was a DNF, I always say you never know and so I thought I would give this one another try. So very glad I did because this time I appreciated the book so much more.

I am not saying it’s my favorite of the series Zeke still holds all the cards but I loved friends to lover’s feel of this book. And how it started out as exactly that, friends who may or may not have had that attraction feel but friends took precedence.

There was little to no dramalama which I like, and how they worked things out really nailed it for me. I liked that they talked and no one just flew off the handle. Shows that just because we are in NA genre you can still have mature characters.

I love Muffy Newtown’s voice she really is a favorite of mine she just has that thing that makes you want to listen vs reading it for yourself. Also, Josh Goodman has a stellar voice too.

Love this Series!!!

Another great installment in the How to Date a Douchebag series from Sara Ney.
We were introduced to Elliott in Sebastian’s book and I loved him since.
Now that Oz is gone and Elliott has a spare room, he decides to rent it out to none other than the Wrestling Coaches daughter Anabelle.

As time goes on, the two become close but Elliott can’t get involved because he’s leaving at the end of the semester.
I loved the easy relationship between the characters and the instant connection.
I also loved the unexpected surprise that threw everyone’s plans upside down.
I was even happier to see Rex Gunderson redeem himself. Hopefully this means we will be getting his book next. I’ve always liked Rex even when he was a Douchebag but he totally grows up in this book.

Great narration by Erin Mallon and Josh Goodman. These two are amazing together and pull you right into the story.

Loved it!!

Amazing til the end

I really did love this book until the last bit of it. The whole Rex/Elliot mess just didn’t do it for me. Aside from that, I loved it. I just don’t like Rex and he aggravates me.

How to Date a Nice Guy

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this book. Has Sara Ney been reading Mariana Zapata? This was worth a credit.

Disappointing

Compared to the other books in this series, this book was disappointing. Annabelle was weak.

This book is my favorite of the series so far. Love love love it! I think the douchebag series is so cute. Full of love, and sarcasm and laughter. It’s a great read.

Prepare to be irritated!

This was a really good book until the 40 minute remaining mark and I almost decided not to finish. The heroine is smart and observant but allows the lead up and what happened at the 40 minute remaining mark to happen. Even though it could technically be construed as 'ok', it isn't. If a guy should not do it, nether should the girl. Allowing a 'plutonic' relationship to build while emotionally with another person is asking for trouble.

I will read the next book in the series but I surely hope that most girls are smarter than how the heroine is portrayed in this story.

The 7 - 5 minute mark was extraordinary frustrating and I wanted to strangle Annabelle! YOU CANNOT MAINTAIN THAT KIND OF FRIENDSHIP WHEN YOU ARE WITH SOMEONE ELSE! PERIOD!!!! YOU CANNOT ASK YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER TO MAINTAIN THAT KIND OF RELATIONSHIP, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE 3RD WHEEL HAS ROMANTIC FEELINGS FOR YOU!

The last 40 minutes knocked 1 star from the overall and an additional 2 stars from the story!

not a douchbag book

This book in the series has a different vibe then the others, it is more like a standalone. But still very enjoyable.

The time they spent apart was what made this book different, relatable and interesting. Normally the reasons people split in these books seen contrived, like stupid fights you know will get resolved, but here they had good reasons. The whole relationship developed organic. Which made the book super realistic. This is why I think it would have been interesting to see how they resolved their problems if it wasn't for the twist.

Don't expact a douchbag book, it's a collage romance, friends to lovers, room mates to lovers. What happens if your plans take you in different directions.

NICE STORY, BUT COULD HAVE LIVED WITHOUT THE TWIST

I've loved all of these books. This one I thought was going to be my favorite, but then the twist happened and I really wanted something different than what happened. Overall it's a great story, don't miss it.

Worst of all the douchebag stories

This was confusing. I couldn’t tell if the story was about Rex and Anabelle or Elliot and Anabelle. There was a HEA but honestly I think it was forced, I don’t see how the relationship will last. I didn’t get all the feel good feelings I got from the other books.
