About this listen

When you’re faking a relationship, the last thing you should do is fall in love...especially with a prince.

Charlie is back in his hometown of Chester Falls for his sister's wedding. What he needs is a date to keep him away from the wandering hands of his ex.

Prince Kristof of Lydovia, or simply Kris, needs an escape from the latest press scandal. Hiding away in an American small town doesn't mean he can't pretend to not be royal or be someone's boyfriend. Especially when that someone keeps falling all over him, literally.

Intense chemistry. A family wedding. Too many secrets.

When their fake relationship starts to feel very real, and the press closes in, how will Kris and Charlie handle the fallout? And when the truth comes out, will Charlie catch his prince, or will he let him go?

Welcome to Chester Falls, where you can expect to meet sweet men, sexy situations, interfering friends, lots of feels, and a happily ever after.

This is book one in the Chester Falls series. How to Catch a Prince is a sweet and steamy MM romance novel with no cliff-hanger and a guaranteed HEA.

How to Catch a Prince is the first book in the Chester Falls series, a contemporary MM romance series set in a small New England town. This book is full of fluff and romance, with enough light angst and low drama to give the plot a little umph.

Just like a gay Hallmark movie, Charlie returns home to Chester Falls for his sister’s wedding. Unbeknownst to Charlie, the hot neighbor living next to him in his rented temporary room is Prince Kristof of Lydovia. Kris is in Chester Falls to hide from the press and lay low until he has a chance to attend the U.S. President’s Ball and fix his bad boy image. The last thing Kris expects to happen is to literally bump into the love of his life in a moment of chance. From the instant these two men lock eyes, there is no stopping the attraction and romance that sparks between them. But first they will have to get through obstacles and make hard decisions before they can get their happy ever after.

I loved this book. It is the definition of a fluffy read full of improbable possibilities that you find in fairy tales. Kris and Charlie were great characters and their romance was both tender and sweet. I really enjoyed Ana Ashley’s writing style and found the book very easy to read and enjoy.

Nick Hudson narrated the audiobook and did a fantastic job. He has a wonderful voice that’s smooth and melodic. He voiced all the characters perfectly and made each character sound distinct and unique so it was easy for me to follow along while listening. I loved the energy Nick put into his performance and I thought it was super cute the little bit of personality he added in the author’s end notes. I will definitely listen to more books by Nick Hudson.

This book gets a big recommendation from me, especially if you want some sweet Hallmark-type romance fluff.

How to Catch a Prince (Chester Falls Book 1) By Ana Ashley. This was a sweet low angst story. This story develops nicely. A good combination of world building and character development.
The Narrator Nick Hudson did a great job bringing these characters and story to life.

Nick did a great job at narrating this cute read. Charlie is a Manager and is going home for his sister's wedding. Kris is a Prince who is lying low in America and runs into Charlie who is avoiding his Ex and helps him out by pretending to be his boyfriend only feelings weren't told they were pretending and the two fall heavy for one another a very sweet read

I’m always up for trying a new author and this book sounded like fun. Prince Kristof of Lydovia has been accused of being in a compromising position and his sister, the queen-in-waiting, has exiled him to America until the whole sordid affair has blown over. He heads to see a friend, but his location is soon discovered and he’s shuttled to the small town of Chester Falls where he holes up in an apartment, hoping no one will recognize him.

Charlie has come home to Chester Falls for his beloved sister’s wedding. His ex is hanging around and making noises about them getting back together. The problem for Charlie is two-fold. One, the ex is still in the closet and Charlie’s not willing to live there anymore, and two, Charlie’s no longer interested. He wants to move on with his life.

When he encounters a stranger in the corridor of the apartment building where he’s staying, he’s intrigued. The man is attractive, to be sure. And there is something in his gentle nature that calls to Charlie. Oh, and the guy has a great sense of humor and of adventure. Perhaps too much on occasion. (can we say rock climbing?)

Charlie opens up to Kristof about his dilemma with his ex and Kristof offers a solution – to be Charlie’s fake boyfriend. I always enjoy this trope when it’s done well and it was well-executed this time. All kinds of hijinks result, of course, but all works out in the end. I’m very interested to see future books. I see Charlie’s brother and Kristof’s friend as a potential future couple. Hello, tension anyone?

Nick Hudson is a new narrator to me and I thought he did a good job. Kristof had an accent and Nick was able to maintain it pretty consistently. Overall I enjoyed the book and will be eagerly awaiting the next one.

Great start to a new series

Story: Cute, fun and with a fairytale flare. Loved it!
The characters and overall plot were really fun to read and I am looking forward to reading more of this series.

Narration: One of the cutest voices ever! I have never heard a narration so suited for all the cute moments in the story! The characters differentiation was great without sounding forced in any way. I look forward to other books from this narrator!

So cute!
