From Amazon bestselling author Rachael Chadwick comes a dark, addictive paranormal rom-com filled with demons, tension, and dangerously irresistible chemistry.

Eden only wanted one thing—to see her dead boyfriend again. But when her summoning spell misfired, she didn't get closure. She got Malachi—a demon with horns, fangs, a bad attitude, and the emotional maturity of a bored arsonist. He wasn't supposed to cross the veil, definitely wasn't supposed to barge into her apartment, and absolutely wasn't supposed to enjoy the frantic little mortal who panics when he breathes near her. As Eden's grief cracks open and Malachi learns what it means to feel, the line between summoner and summoned begins to blue. And when Hell finally decides it wants its missing demon back, they'll both have to decide how far they're willing to go to stay together.

4.5 ⭐'s, this was really good, and Malachi is dry, dark, sarcastic, abrupt, inappropriate and brilliant, I loved his character, him and Eden together and the story as a whole. It is a book about death, grief, demons and the afterlife, it's tagged as a dark rom-com and there are parts that are quite blunt but I'm not saying that as a bad thing, I actually liked how direct it was at times and along with that and the humour it was sweet and charming too, the take on the afterlife felt a little like a mash up of RIPD x some of the characters from Grim x it's own thing, on audio it was a really enjoyable book to listen to, the narration was brilliant, the delivery spot on and it really complemented the characters and tone of the book, and it was in duet - yey! I am also hoping with that ending that this doesn't end up being a standalone and there's more to come (and that it's still dark, inappropriate and funny)

Malachi 💗

If I could give this a hundred stars I would. Totally captivating, hilariously funny, just enough spice, and can’t stop listening to it kind of stuff, and the narration ……. I don’t know what to say besides “CHEFS KISS” If you’re a fan of “Grim” you’re going to LOVE this audio book. Now to start looking for my next Demon book boyfriend 😈

No crumbs. Everything about this book was perfection. And we get a view into the next book too (I hope!)
