Summary

Gabriel Legend is unlike any other man I’ve ever met.

He came into my life like a hurricane, shattering all my assumptions and preconceived notions.

I wasn’t prepared for him. I wasn’t prepared for any of it.

But life doesn’t wait until you’re ready.

Whatever happens next, I know one thing for certain.

I will never be the same Scarlett I was before I met him.

House of Scarlett is the second book of the Legend Trilogy and should be enjoyed following The Fall of Legend. Scarlett and Legend’s story concludes in The Fight for Forever.

The 2nd book of a trilogy by Meghan March

A great second book of a trilogy. The story has moved along nicely and the plot developed in an enticing way (to make you want to read the last book).

Joe Arden and Erin Mallon do a fab job with the narration.

Fantastic!

OMG! That cliffhanger! EPIC!!! I didn’t think I could like these two anymore than I already do, but I was so wrong. The intrigue continues as the danger and chemistry amps up a whole lot. I loved this book so much and can’t wait for the concluding part! Fantastic!

Meghan March - what happened?

I just can't get into this series. I feel like nothing of importance is happening, and it's just not like her regular writing style. Doesn't hold a candle to the Beneath series.

a different side of Gabriel

You see Gabriel as a more helpful and caring man. He not only continues to help Bump but he plays nursemaid to Scarlett after her surgery. He is still aggressive and possessive with her but he'll do anything for her. Cant wait for their conclusion in the next book.

Rollercoaster ride of emotions!!

I'm so in love with Gabriel's fierce protectiveness over Scarlett. He had an instant attraction and it seemed to overwhelm me... it caused a slight obsession. Scarlett was finally ready to dive in when Gabe pulled the breaks... I was busy yelling at them both and wanting to knock heads together! They had me struggling with emotional whiplash!

Meghan March has a way about her writing. I felt so much in this second installment of Scarlett and Gabriel's story. This one felt so compelling and I felt so emotionally invested... perhaps even a bit tortured! The narration added another layer as well. Erin Mallon is probably one of my favorite narrators. She has to be in the top five. Her voice melding with Joe Arden's is so fantastic. He's strong and deep. They have a fantastic chemistry.

Ready for the third!

House of Scarlett is Book 2 in the Legend Trilogy by Meghan March, and does not stand alone. If you haven’t read the first in the trilogy, The Fall of Legend, go read it! This second installment doesn’t feel like filler like so many other 2nd books in trilogies do. House of Scarlett had a ton of character development, and it really made me love both Scarlett and Gabriel more, both as a couple and separately.

While I really enjoyed The Fall of Legend, I found it to be a little slower than most of Meghan’s other books, but the pace and excitement really picked up in House of Scarlett and there are lots of twists and turns.

“What was I thinking? That somehow we could come from completely different worlds and have a fairy-tale romance, complete with a happily-ever-after?”

We learn a lot about Gabriel’s heartbreaking history and we get to know (and like) Scarlett so much more. Gabriel really turned from a grumbling brute to a caring partner, and Scarlett became much more real, not just a social media icon. I really enjoyed how the characters grew and changed, and how sweet the brutal fighter could be.

The chemistry between the couple is incendiary, but it’s the other relationships in this story that I really loved the most. Gabriel’s and Bump’s relationship is so special to read about, and any girl would be lucky to have the great friends that Scarlett had. But my favorite character was Flynn! I see a series in her future as well (hopefully).

And HOLY CLIFFHANGER. Once again, Meghan March just about KILLED ME leaving me like that!!! HURRY!!! I NEED The Fight for Forever RIGHT.NOW.

Solid middle book of the trilogy

It's hard to write a good solid middle book of a trilogy, there's not a real beginning or ending.
In some ways you could say that parts 1-2 could have been blended into one story, but there was a lot character and relationship building in this book.

One thing I like is that Gabe and Scarlett could have been an enemies to lovers story, or could have been kept apart by status or circumstance. But in the story, they grew and were a TEAM. Once they got over their initial issue, they were a team, they were one and the battles against them were external and not internal. I do get tired of people just internally deciding against happiness and making problems that didn't have to exist.

You're rooting for the team of Gabe, Scarlett and Bump! They are a family. Even her step sister is awesome, and they are growing closer.

Now Scarlett's father and ex boyfriend are asshats and can get whatever bad things they deserve. Especially her father, he goes fishing with her user exboyfriend while she's in the hospital? Um, not!!

Again, love Joe Arden and his narration - it makes every book even better.
