Story
Ambitious ice queen and corporate lawyer Felicity Simmons has spent her life focused on one thing: scuttling up the career ladder. She's achingly close to taking charge of a media empire for her boss when she's sent to investigate a South Bronx charity that helps homeless people's pets. Has the charity made off with her boss's generous donation? And, who on earth is that gorgeous soft-butch veterinarian who looks as if she could toss a Shetland pony over one shoulder? Not that Felicity has any interest in some opinionated Amazon or her adorable fleabag of a dog.

LA-based English indie filmmaker Alex Levitin reluctantly takes a job in New Zealand to save the "worst movie ever", Shezan: Mistress of the Forest. Things might go easier for her if she didn't almost run over the standoffish, beautiful local cop on her first day in town. And it'd really help if her film set wasn't being mysteriously sabotaged. When Ika Whenu's Senior Constable Sam Keegan isn't trying to stamp out a motorcycle gang drug problem afflicting her town, she's publicly slamming everything about the exploitative film and the Hollywood blow-ins making it.

Summary
Ice meets fire in this opposites-attract lesbian romance, as layered, sassy, and smart as its characters.

Brilliant ice queen Amelia Duxton is a hotel vice president who thrives on control, truth, and efficiency. She’s in no mood for love or the mess it brings. All she wants is to buy the coveted Mayfair Palace - a massive deal that could finally help her land the CEO job in her family’s hotel empire.
Fiery Kai Fisher is charming and chaotic and renowned for closing ambitious deals. Her sights are set on snatching the Mayfair Palace out from under the nose of her hated arch rivals, the Duxton family.

The Legendary Angela Dawe strikes again!
I initially read Hotel Queens when it was released as an ebook and was thoroughly captivated by the characters and storyline. Listening to it made the story come alive. Kai and Amelia are wonderfully narrated by Angela. The voices for the supporting characters are great too. The story by Lee Winter is , much like her other novels, fantastic. Strong female characters, interesting dialogue, some twists and turns in the plot and romance make this a wonderful listen. I highly recommend this, you won’t be disappointed!

Sublime
It is true that Angela Dawe enhances a book with her wonderful narration, she is indeed legendary, a goddess! It must also be said that the writing must also captivate and boy does (the artist known as) Lee Winter draw you in and hold your attention. Clever, witty, sharp and steamy in all the right places. I’d read the book prior so already knew it was brilliant, Dawe just makes it sublime. Thanks to both, may you work together for a very long time.

Fantastic Story, Fantastic Narrator!
Loved this story from start to finish. Beautifully written with a few unexpected and very clever twists along the way but what really made this story stand out, was the fantastic narration by Angela Dawe. She has a delightful voice and is able to jump in and out of characters and indeed, accents, flawlessly.

Another winner by Lee Winter
There are few Lesfic writers who can combine the right amount of suspense with romance and a good story to keep me interested, but Lee Winter does it again.
The fire and ice theme came over very well and having two women equal in their level of career and intelligence in combat also worked well. The underhand goings on in Lia's family, to stop her from becoming CEO, kept the listener interested as did Lia going undercover to find out the problems in her hotel.
All in all a great listen, helped greatly by Angela Dawes narration, although I'm still trying to work our Quinn's accent, Aussie/East London?
Can highly recommend!

Absolutely Brilliant
Not only has Lee Winter delivered yet another captivating and wonderful masterpiece, but Angela Dawe has completely outdone herself, once again.
These characters are rich with life and complexity. The way they play off each other is yet another masterclass on story telling by this very talented author. The dialogue is some of the best I've read.
Then the baton was passed to the only narrator with the ability to enhance the story further. The way Angela Dawe can deliver a vast variety of voices is astonishing enough. But how she encapsulates the personalities and conveys them through voice is ... well ... legendary.

Great as always
Lee winter and Angela Dawe is perfection. Lee winter absolutely destroyed the rest of the lesfic books in existence for me. She reset my expectations and I can’t find fulfillment in other authors anymore. I’m not being hyperbolic, it’s the truth. She’s that good. While this book wasn’t as fantastic as The Brutal Truth or Requiem for Immortals, I blew through it in a day. There’s a great premise, character development and story. It lacked the heat of the two aforementioned books, but it was plenty entertaining. I hope Lee Winter sticks with Dawe in the future, I didn’t enjoy the red files series and Changing the Script as much as I would have had Dawe Narrated. The woman who narrates Requiem was the exception, that book is perfection.
Purchase this book without regard, it’s fantastic.

I read this on kindle and found it to be one of the best dialogue driven books I've read in the genre.
The story unfolds primarily on the words of the characters. For this reason, the audio version comes alive with the voice of this exceptional narrator. Angela Dawe brings the book to life with an impressive range of voices. A truly incredible experience.

Decent until the middle to the end.
This book had a strong start and two absolute bosses of women; titans in their industries. The middle to the ending were downright ridiculous though and the narration of one of the main character's voices was hilarious to listen to most of the time.
Spoiler alert: I can't stand behind two lesbians u-hauling it internationally after only being together for three weeks. Especially when their relationship started full of hatred and games. It just didn't make any sense and was so poorly executed from an emotional and logical standpoint towards the end.
