Summary

"Alright, alright, alright."

Women say I sound just like Matthew McConaughey.

And owning half of Texas, life can't get any better.

Until my inheritance is threatened by my bitch of a half-sister.

Well sugar, that shit ain't happenin'!

The only way to stop her is to get married.

It's in my parents' will.

Fortunately, I know just the candidate - Amanda.

She lights me up as bright as the Dallas sky.

All I can think of is her riding me cowgirl while wearing my Stetson.

But there's more to it.

She's actually making my playboy ass consider settling down.

I'll do everything in my power to win her over.

Including something I have never done before, introduce her to my son....

good BUT

Whilst I enjoyed the idea of this book I felt it took way too long for the main characters to meet. Then when they did meet it moved along way too fast. It’s like they were instantly in love. The ending left way too many unanswered questions in my opinion. What happened to Tiffany? Were all her plans revealed? Was she punished for her actions? What happened in Amanda’s past to make her the way she was?

Hot Daddy! Hot, Hot, Hot!

Hot Daddy by R.R. Banks
Five Stars

Hot Daddy is the first book I have read/listened to by R.R. Bank, but definitely won’t be the last. This book flowed from beginning to end. I love all the down to earth and over the top characters. This book is funny in parts and heartbreaking in others. Rodney Falcon did an excellent job in narrating this story. He really brought the characters to life. I was utterly entertained.

Brady and Amanda!

RR Banks is a new to me author and I loved this introduction to her writing. Yes, single dad romances are a guilty pleasure of mine, and Brady came through with flying colors. When his father died, the terms of the will stated he had to get married. With his half-sister Tiffany on the prowl to get a hold of the company, Brady knew he had to satisfy the terms. But who to marry? Amanda is a barista at the local coffee house and is need of a new job. Will she suffice in a fake marriage? This book is fun from beginning to end. It has that over the top Texas quality, with a few twists. The characters are engaging, with passionate scenes, brutal deceptions and a little boy that steals your heart! It's got some humor in there too to keep you smiling. A great start for this new to me author!

Rodney Falcon is spot on with his narration of this story! Love his Texas feel, with Brady, and the condescension attitude he gives with Tiffany. He shines through with his slight raspiness, giving the narration a sexy edge. It's a fun listen!

fake marriage to get an inheritance.

Brady and Amanda meet at the coffee shop, where she is a barista. He witnesses her getting fired...she has a bit of an attitude...and decides that she just may be the answer to his dilemma! You see, in order for Brady to receive his inheritance, he has to be married...soon! If Brady isn't married, then his father's company will be given to his 1/2 sister, who just wants to sell off all of the assets and take the cash. Brady's sister is a schemer and will do whatever it takes to ensure that Brady does not inherit the company. Amanda needs money so when Brady proposes a temporary-fake marriage, she hesitates but eventually agrees. Can this 'marriage' lead to more between Brady and Amanda? Will sister dearest find out that the marriage is fake and get her way? Good story, just took a while to like Brady. Narration is what really kept me into the story.

Cute Story!

Enjoyed the writing a lot! Loved that these characters had some good fundamental personality traits. Bran and Amanda were a really cute couple! There were some pretty steamy scenes too. Also, I really love that this story was set in TX!

Loved the narration! First time listening to this narrator and I thought he gave a fabulous performance.

Barista with an attitude

First thank you Rodney Falcon for gifting me this audible book for a fair and honest review, and you did in parts remind me of Matthew McConaughey.
I have to say this story was cute, funny in parts, and I loved the characters. Amanda Johnston with her quick wit, feisty come backs, no nonsense attitude. Brady Keating May have been a bad boy, but he knew what he needed to do, and went for it. Especially where his son was concerned, that’s always key to me.
This story is fast paced, will draw you in and hold you till the end.

Love this story. Strong female lead, fun story. Nicholas was a little soft for me, prefer a more alpha male. Rodney Falcon was very good at portraying Nicholas, his female voice however was uninflected and needs some work.

Excellent Audible book!!

This was such a fun book to listen to. Amanda is a struggling, independent young woman with a sassy mouth that gets her into trouble at work. Brady walks into her life and is drawn to her, but Amanda is not happy with him. But now long can she resist this caring, handsome and sexy father? Besides, he offers her a way out of her financial woes. I loved these characters and throw in a fantastic supporting cast that helps them realize what a great future they can achieve. Rodney Falcon seemed to have so much fun narrating this book. Love the emotions he portrayed. I asked to receive this Audible book and voluntarily wrote an unbiased review. I highly recommend this Audible book.

Good

This is your typical single dad romance. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't more involvement between Brady and his young son Nicholas. What starts out as a business arrangement between Brady and Amanda quickly turns into so much more.

Rodney Falcon brought these characters to life which made me enjoy the story more than if I would have read it.

Good

This was my first experience with this author and I will be sure to listen to and/or read others. I liked the idea of the story. Amanda had the type of sarcasm that I like. Her comments at work were something I could see slipping from my own mouth. The story felt a little rushed in spots, but had good flow.

Unlikely lovers

What starts out as a business deal ends up in true love. Kind of a “Pretty Woman” feel without the whore scene lol. I enjoyed this from start to finish. Narration was great as well. I will definitely listen to this again.

Slow build to plot, but good story

It took a but to build up to the main storyline, but I liked it over all. The dialogue, including the internal POV dialogue, had me literally laughing out loud!

This story was right down the middle for me :) i liked the characters and plot. It moved a little slow for me but overall was enjoyable.

I enjoyed Rodney's Male narration very much. He has a very clear enjoyable tone. The female voice left a little to be desired but overall- great job.
