Summary

Must hear: Hopelessly Shattered previously.

Pregnant - check.

Single mother of two - check.

Biker best friend - check.

Ex that's still a d-bag - check.

New Year's is the time for new beginnings. I thought I'd gotten that when I visited Texas over Thanksgiving. Then again, very little has changed. I'm still a librarian living in the same house. My daughters are growing up fast. Sure, I've acquired a new best friend who's convinced me it's time to give dating a fair shot. That isn't exactly easy when I'm pregnant with an asshole's baby. Does that complicate matters? Sort of.

But there's nothing left for me to do except move on. The jagged edges of my shattered heart have been polished, questions answered, and blank holes from my past plugged. Now I'm ready to take the plunge into uncharted waters to build a happier life...until a bomb comes along and tests my strength like never before. Nobody f--ks with my family and gets away with it. Not even you.

Warning: Proceed with caution. Contains adult sexual content, the excessive use of the f-bomb, violence, and whatever else that makes it unsuitable for anyone under the age of 18.

Not a stand-alone, second audiobook in a fully published trilogy.

Hopeful but Awesome!

This is the 2nd installment of the trilogy & I loved it! We pick up where we left off in the 1st one. This time the oh-so not very smart Vanessa is manipulating circumstances that cause some major issues for Kat & the girls. Kat ends up quasi-kidnapped by Ryker & moved to his cabin in Texas. There are some major growing pains with adjustments for Kat & the girls. Kat still loves Ryker but he makes it hard not to stay mad at him. Loved the narrators! Great story & can't wait for the last one!

Loved it

This is just excellent. I am listening for the third time. Love the narrators. Read the book a while ago and I adore her MC books. The narrators do an excellent job and bring the story to life. I am not so certain I like the strong southern accent just because it’s not what I heard in my head as a read the books years ago. But it makes sense to the Texas location. I can’t wait for her to put up the third book. And then her diaries. Seriously love her MC Books. They are hard, gritty, real. Always hot. She does include m/m in some aspect. Not my thing, but it’s not over the top and I just skim the parts I don’t like to read. Don’t let this stop you from reading or listening. It’s written real, not for sleaze or titillation. It written for acceptance cause sometimes that’s the way people are and it doesn’t make them less human. The way she writes, she makes the MC lifestyle real, human, gritty and fun. You get the family and the love in whatever form it is. Love this author!
