Gloria Morris is a Private Detective, an expert in martial arts and is not afraid to use deadly force if necessary. She has a strong sense of pride in the city where she lives and mingles with many various and colourful people who work on the street and keep her informed. Gloria investigates a jewellery theft and learns of a child sex trafficking ring in the area. She follows the theft job through to the end with determination and at the same time sets events in motion to dismantle the ring and the major players involved. Gloria mixes with thieves, murderers, street vendors, musicians, artists, wealthy femmes and lawyers and does this with ease. The author paints a vivid picture of these different characters and has crafted a great story. I really enjoyed this book.
