Honey cake, Heartbreak and Hazard

Melody continues for clues and finally finds out what really happens. These last two books have definitely been the saddest so far but that is what makes it feel more real. So far this has been a great series.

Great Read

Honey Cake, Heartbreak, and Hazards was a great read by Meredith Potts. Private Investigator, Melody Clue, was hired to find out if Alicia really killed herself. This was another great Melody Clue story and I can't wait to read more by the author.

Earns 4.5/5 Break Ups...Entertaining!

Meredith Potts is a prolific writer of delightful cozy mysteries easy-to-read or listen. I enjoy the clever mystery, satisfying ending, endearing and quirky characters, nothing complicated, and with the audio version, Stephanie Quinn’s pleasant voice narration. “Honey Cake, Heartbreak, & Hazards” is an excellent example. Melody Clue’s childhood friend, Alicia Templeton, is dead, and her death is officially believed a suicide. She did have a stressful job and a recent bad breakup, but suicide? No clues, no hints, no way! says her mother. BFF and private investigator Melody Clue agrees, so when Mrs. Templeton approaches Melody about conducting an investigation and looking closer at the details, Melody sets out to prove it’s murder. Without access to police reports, it’s like starting anew, but interviewing the neighbor, ex-boyfriend, and her co-workers just might reveal what Melody needs to bring justice to her friend. Meredith Potts’s story is engaging. Stephanie Quinn’s narration is enjoyable. Well-worth the time.

Another well-written story from a very good author

Honey Cake, Heartbreak, and Hazards (Melody Clue), My seventy-fiftth short read/listen from prolific author Meredith Potts, Well-written & enjoyable, another cute, clean cozy mystery. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I was impressed and enjoyed the vocal variety & inflections of narrator Stephanie Quinn. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
