I love the way of explaination.

I am so into Hygge! This book just made the journey so much better. I'm ready to move to Denmark. It lays everything out using colorful backgrounds. Really gets you in the mood for Hygge. I love the way he explains and how he paints the picture for you. I bought two. One for me and a friend who shares the same birthday month.

Love this book!

Love this book! I just wish it wasn’t quite so expensive or that I could get a deal for multiple copies as I’m giving it as a gift to many people this year!

Excellent book

There's a lot behind this book to help people see the little joys. Quantity is definitely not Quality, and there's something to be said about the little everyday pleasures that we either forget about or are too busy to notice them right in front of us. Once I was done listen to this I printed out the Hygge Manifesto and stuck it on our fridge for quick reminders of the little things to appreciate and that happiness -can- actually be simply found.

This book was so fantastic!

This book was SO fantastic! It's actually the second book I've to listen to hygge, and the first was all about the idea and philosophy of hygge - and I didn't love it. In contrast, this book was so very practical! Wiking offers you specific things to do to boost the hygge in your home and life: by more candles! Eat more cake! Light a fire in the fireplace! Even though that sounds simple, he manages to be super interesting for the entirety of the book and had me thinking about my life and my community in a new way. The only problem is, now I kind of want to move to Denmark!

Great little interesting book.

Great little interesting book about how to slow down and enjoy your life. I bought this book as an extra present for my yoga friend. I know she will be so delighted with this book.

Adorable book!

Adorable book! All about how to stay cozy for your overall happiness and wellbeing! The book is also interesting because it is explained by a researcher from the Institute of Happiness and has easy to listen to diagrams with good information! Perfect happiness reminder to listen before bed!

I liked all the suggestions.

I liked all the suggestions except for burning candles. I agree that burning candles creates a lovely glow, but I believe there are toxins in most candles so I no longer use them. I use small lamps and a high quality pure essential oil in a diffuser.

Excellent book

It’s the antidote for all that’s wrong in trump’s America. Have a cozy time with friends, have some cake and celebrate the social safety net. Look to Danish society to find how great life can be.

This is such a great book.

This is such a great book. I've listened about half of it so far & it makes you stop to think about your happiness and how to increase it pretty easily. Received as a gift and it's one of my favorites now.

Hard to listen to

This book sounded like someone reading random blog posts loosely related to the subject of the books. It was very disjointed as it bounced from topic to topic often repeating things from earlier. Some topics had no relevance to the subject of the books.

Disorganized and Redundant

For books (which do have some good ideas) designed to help people organize and simplify their lives, they are disorganized and redundant, with numerous random comments. The performance of the first volume and of the last volume was fine, but the second narrator, on feng shui, seemed not to be a professional narrator.

Hyyge could be the secret to great relationships!

Hyyge could be the secret to great relationships! There are some recipes inside for those who enjoy kitchenhygge. The idea of sharing a comfort zone with others is much needed in an increasingly uncomfortable world.

Understandable book.

So this Danish concept of cozy - recognizing the warmth and comfort in simple things and activities - totally resonates with me. I have, in my brief acquaintance with the idea, have actually recognized the hygienist surrounds me, just waiting to be cultivated. No complex systems. No check sheets. Just a cup of tea, some woolen socks, and the acknowledgment of the moment.

This is the perfect guide.

My new favorite coffee table book. It was a quick listen and I was happily curled up with a cup of coffee soaking in all the information. Even listen to the book was hyggelig, and if you want hygge in your life, this is the perfect guide.

Love this sweet and comforting book.

I don't know how anyone could not love this sweet and comforting book. I have it on audio (unabridged) and listen by the author whose Danish accent complements the material. Very soothing, especially on a gray winter day. It makes me want to make a cup of mango-ginger tea and snuggle with the cat and a journal. Lots of tips in the book not only helpful but inspiring as well. My apartment has more candles, flowers, and pillows than it did last month. Enjoy!

Purchased as a component of a Christmas package.

Purchased as a component of a Christmas package...with a sheepskin rug, candle, and cozy socks. It was perfect! Quick listen! The book is cute and short and I couldn't put it down (confession - I listen to the entire thing before mailing it!!!). It's true what they say - the Danes really are the happiest people on earth! :)

Loved this book!

Loved this! I did the audible version that is narrated by the author, he has a lovely voice, and it's great to hear the correct pronunciation of the terms used in the book. Learning to incorporate hygge in your life starts with this book! We will be purchasing his other books in the future.

I really enjoyed listening to this book.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It’s a quick and easy listen that has some great insights on how to enjoy the simpler things in life. The hardcover book itself is a nice size, easy to take while traveling, and the texture of the cover is nice. The book has a Matt finish that feels soft.

I love this book.

I love this book. I have gifted it for my birthday. It's an easy, short listen. It has helped me change so much around my home; guiding me into decluttering, lighting candles, and paying attention to what I am doing. I enjoy the hygge design trends all over the internet, but I love the heart of hygge; comfort for the soul. It's a simple book, but it may help you set your priorities right.
