You invited her in. That was your first mistake.

Jules and Scott are a young couple living on the outskirts of London. When the charming and charismatic Orla sweeps into their lives, inviting her to house-share seems like the answer to all their problems: she needs a home, they could do with the money.

But once Orla moves in, Jules starts to feel uncomfortable. Whatever the occasion, Orla has to be centre-stage. Every social occasion, every outing, every get-together is dominated by her and her daily dramas. But on closer inspection, Orla's stories just don't add up. And Jules starts to suspect that their dream housemate might be about to turn their lives into a nightmare.

I found this novel well written, well paced and engaging. The narration was very good and I would definitely recommend listening to it. I will seek out other novels by this author.

Enjoyable and well narrated

Loved this but really hated Orla from the start. I wanted a little more from the ending but it was a good read.

Slow start but great story

I read the reviews and I settled down for a good listen but half way through I just got bored, continued until the end but the story was underwhelming. the characters and subsequent discoveries felt juvenile and undeveloped. if in doubt always throw in long term friends/lovers how have no loyalty and will always without doubt side with a stranger.
narrator was very good and brought a mediocre story to life.

hmm

I’m an avid consumer of audiobooks and I found this one very enjoyable. Good storyline and believable characters. Good narration too. It was well paced and plotted out. Could give rise to a sequel.

Enjoyable listen
