Brilliant, You won't be disappointed.

Loved it, don't miss this one. A gifted writer with an engaging, well thought out story and great characters. The narrator did a superb job with her impressive range of voices adding value without distraction. Worth a credit, you won't be disappointed.

Predictable

Passed the time but I wasn’t mad about this book. Very wordy and drawn out and I felt not brilliantly written. Unbelievable characters and very predictable. I guessed the killer very early on. Not sure I would read any more books by this author but the narration was good.

Too much blood

Quite well written but an improbable story. One bloody body too many. I had to return

Wrong reader

I looked forward to reading this as an exiled Aberdonian but was very disappointed by the narrator. In another book she would be excellent but not this one. There wasn’t one character who sounded like they came from Aberdeen and not a buttery rowie mentioned at all. Aberdonians live on rowies!

Good story

Good story set in my home town Aberdeen , minor flaws in accent and street pronunciations but didn't detract from story.

What a corker of a debut

Must admit I love a bit of Celtic Noir. Make it a police procedural and I’m in. This did not disappoint. Interesting characters. Tension in the ranks. A serial killer with complex MO. A great back story. Loved every second. And guessed the wrong perp, so it must be good.

Narrator was also excellent.
