Summary

What a joy
Burrowing through my wife’s choices I found this gem. It is addictive. A great story, well read. Would be a great TV series. Heroine reminds me of so many women I know with the sense of mischief.

Brilliant version of a great book
Such fabulous characters, there were times I laughed out loud at some of the things Lou said. Really well read, I can see myself listening to it over and over! I'm off to find any other books by this author on audible

Great book
just chose this randomly and finished it in less than 24h! the main character is hilarious and it's got a good slow burn. the plot is interesting, a few twists, a good pace, and a good amount of drama. haven't read a book about ice diving before so that was interesting too.

Romance and crime with a bit humour
I really enjoy the way Katie Ruggle brings humour into her stories, at least the 2 I’ve read so far. The mystery/crime element kept me guessing and the romance was nicely predictable. If you enjoy the combination then you’ll enjoy this well narrated novel.

Captured me for the first page
And keep me updated til the end. Lovely portrayal of characters both the written word and the narration. Mystery, excitement, building love story and I felt that every time Ive read it… this is the third time. Enjoyed as much as the first time

Adventurous
This is my first Katie Ruggle book and I absolutely LOVED it.
What a great adventure Katie takes you on.
There is Action,suspense and ex boyfriend troubles...A dead body and a stalker all packed into a fabulous story and romance between Callum and Lou.
The banter and chemistry between Cal and Lou is Excellent Lou is so witty and Cal is so serious.
They are complete opposites but fit so perfectly,they also work together amazingly as they try to solve the mystery of a dead body that is found...and try to find out who is stalking Lou...falling in love during the process.
I LOVE Katie Ruggle's writing it is so descriptive and detailed and has you so captivated by everything being written.
The audiobook is Excellent and Rachel Dulude is Fantastic narrating this story portraying all the characters and I enjoyed listening to her performace very much.
I am invested in this series now and eager to listen to book 2.
LOved it.

than most contemporary writers out there! Characters were well developed and plot was not obvious. Going to listen the next ones in the series...

Good story, I liked the main characters and the people surrounding them. The descriptions of the area and weather conditions all added to it. The narrator did a really good job too
