Summary

An audiobook in Tamil.

Who was the world's first human being? Man or woman?

Where did man plant his first footstep on earth? What is the name of the first human species? Where did the first human settlement occur? When did Sri Lanka move away from the Indian sub-continent? Did man ever see dinosaurs face to face? When did man first cook? Who was the world's first peasant-farmer? Who was the world's first great emperor? The world's first panchayat (or village council), first law, first police station, first eye operation....

This is the ultimate book of lists, throwing light on these and many more of the "firsts" of planet Earth. The origin of man, the birth and death of civilizations, wars and empires, the beginning of the universe - all this and more is covered in this comprehensive journey in to the past, present, and future. And Madan makes it all so enjoyable. With his easy flowing style and ready humor, he turns a complex voyage in a time machine into a walk in the park.

This audiobook will drench you in the sound of music - music as fresh as folk songs and as profound as hymns as Madan's history of the world is brought to you in pure audio.

Wonderful compilation of history

This audio book by Madhan does differentiates itself by sticking on to hard archeological evidences. especially Indians (common people) used to skewed history as ingested from indian movies (like bollywood), should find this intriguing.

அருமையான தமிழ் புத்தகம்

What was one of the most memorable moments of KiMu KiPi?

What about Charles K’s performance did you like?

அருமையான குரல் தெளிவான குரல்

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

ஆம் நிச்சயமாக

Any additional comments?

Book starts off with the beginning of time. The writer Madhan emphasizes that first man on earth is not a man but it’s a woman from Africa. That’s an interesting fact.

Book touches on various empires throughout the time that shaped up the culture of the earth that we live including the great Persian Empire and Greek Empire. But the book misses so much on Roman Empire that has played the key role in the human revolution.

Books wraps up after covering up about “Maurya Empire” and how they defended India from Greek occupation and repelled them back out of India.

Another interesting fact is that even in ancient Indian Empires (Including Chola Empire of Tamil Nadu) used Greek soldiers in their army as well as to defend their cities.

Often you’ll encounter English words like “Wow” in a Tamil book which is not something I like.

All in all a good read and a must read if you are someone who facinated about the History and Time
