Story
"I’m kind of a lady, but definitely more of a weirdo." Hearing the woman at the table behind him say that to her friend should’ve turned Logan Gibbs off. It doesn’t. In all honesty, it only makes him listen harder. He’s had enough weird in his life to last a lifetime. The last thing his complicated life needs is a woman in it who has no clue what color you get when you mix yellow and blue together. Yet, her obvious blonde moments aren’t enough to deter him. Nor is her lack of finger-painting skills.

Story
Dear Mr. Vega: I felt it necessary to follow up on today’s meeting, since we weren’t able to speak candidly in front of your son. I was shocked to discover that you are Ryder’s dad. I think it would be best if we just pretend that we met in person for the first time today. Your son is a very bright (flirtatious and talkative) student and since his education is a top priority for both of us, I hope I can count on you to respectfully refrain from grinning at me, using that sexy tone of voice, and undressing me with your annoyingly beautiful brown eyes....

Call it superstition, but when a guy bats as hot as Brooks Elliott, you don’t mess with what’s working. And what’s working is him keeping his pants zipped and doing all of his scoring on the field. So when I hear he’s planning to ditch his V-card now that he’s been traded to baseball’s lovable losers - a.k.a. my home team and my reason for living every March through October - I do what any rational, dedicated, obsessed fan would do. I make a plan to stop him. But the thing about stopping him is that it requires spending time with him. Lots. And lots. And lots of time.

Ace Valentine has a smart mouth, a devil-may-care attitude, and those wicked eyes aimed directly at her. She doesn't know what to do with that kind of attention. I’d like to preface this by saying it was never my intention to ever get involved in a workplace romance, let alone get involved with the most surly, agitating, and pompous man I’ve ever met who just so happens to be my new friend’s brother. Story
The beginning of my sophomore year in college was off to a rough start. On the first day of orientation, I had an altercation with an infuriating British dude in a campus bathroom. (The ladies’ room was out of order. So, I used the men’s room. Don’t judge.) I got home later that night and realized that the foreign student we were expecting to rent a room in my parents’ house was allergic to our cat. So, the spare room went to someone else: Caleb - the British guy from the men’s room. And so it began...my love-hate story with Caleb Yates. Or was it hate-love in that order?

When romance novelist Kate Smith suddenly gets writer's block as she's beginning the final installment of her international best-selling erotic Bed 'n Breakfast series, she'll do pretty much anything to get her groove back. Like sneak into a Tire Depot waiting room because her words flow there just like complimentary coffee - smooth, sweet, and scorchingly hot. She manages to fly under the radar until the rugged and charming mechanic, Miles Hudson, notices the quirky redhead slinking in and out of the employees-only entrance. But she's way too intriguing to blow the whistle on.

I was only trying to help a friend. I swear. I was legit asking for a friend who was finally ready to date again. So I did what any good friend would do. Posted it for her. It seemed like a good idea at the time - I’d weed through the candidates, and bring her my top picks. But then he responded. Is it wrong to date the guy I screened for my bestie? Not asking for a friend.

Loved the narration
Hissy Fit was my first Lani Lynn Vale novel and I have mixed emotions about this novel. I didn't like that the H didn't notice the h until the incident inspite of the fact they work together and I wished the h wasn't as clumsy as she was made out to be. I loved that the story was hilarious and there were times I couldn't stop laughing out loud. I loved that Ezra fell in love with Raleigh and her klutziness does not put him off. The story was emotional, steamy and hilarious and I did enjoy the romance between Ezra and Raleigh. I would recommend it to lovers of contemporary romance. The audible version was narrated by Ava Erickson and Jacob Morgan. They did an excellent job with the characters and brought the story to life. They infused the right amount of emotion into the story and gave each characters their own voice. I enjoyed their narration of this novel.

A cute story!
I must admit--at first, I was hesitant to give this a try because I didn't like the first ani Lynn Vale book I listened to, but I'm glad I did! This cute story had me swooning and laughing out loud! Not only that, but it addresses some serious high school issues as well. I liked the subplots and the heartwarming ending. Ava Erickson and Jacob Morgan did an amazing job narrating. Hissy Fit is a contemporary romantic comedy written in dual first-person POV and performed in dual narration. It's a standalone that ends with an HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Ava Erikson and Jacob Morgan bring Lani Lynn Vale's Hissy Fit, the first in the Southern Gentlemen series, to life in this audio version. In their small town, Ezra has never noticed Raleigh. She is immediately forgettable. That is until the day she knocks over wrapping paper in. The local grocery store. From their 'first' meeting, the story of Raleigh and Ezra is adorable. She is a complete clutz and he tries to ensure her safety. It's laugh out loud funny at parts but contains a thread of a couple of serious high school issues.

I was recommended this book and I was honestly surprised there was a book by Lani Lynn Vale I hadn’t listened to yet. She is a favorite author of mine. This book was so unlike any of her other ones and I LOVED every last second of it. I loved Raleigh and Ezra, they really go through a lot to get to where they end up and I loved that they both worked at their relationship. Ezra is that boy you crushed on in high school the one that never knew you existed. And Raleigh is the shy awkward girl who was invisible until she wasn’t. I just loved their story. Great narration, seriously these two narrators were perfect for these particular characters. I want more in this series!

How did he not know who she was?!!
Ugh. There was so much wrong with this book that it was really hard for me to really like it. I could NOT get past the fact that they grew up in the same small Texas town, went to the same high school where he played football with her brother, now work at said high school.... yet Ezra didn’t know Raleigh’s name? The speed in which they went from him not knowing who she was to Ezra being completely smitten with him gave me whiplash. And their first time together? The dude doesn’t even woo her. I felt like it was almost borderline assault, the way he took it upon himself to rid her of her V card while they were in lockdown during a tornado. And her klutzy schtick got real old. The first few times it was cute, but then I just rolled my eyes every time there was another accident. The performance, though, was great. Despite the lacks in the storyline, Ava Erickson and Jacob Morgan did a fantastic job with the material. I kept waiting to figure out why this book is titled Hissy Fit. And the realization never came. Raleigh gets cranky about his past fling with another teacher (whom she can’t even call by name!) but doesn’t pitch a fit about it. Speaking of that teacher... Ew. That subplot where she was bedding a student I didn’t think was necessary. Unfortunately, Hissy Fit wasn’t for me.

The only major thing that I need to complain about, and I’m surprised no one else has mentioned it, was the fact that chapter 18 and chapter 19 were swapped in the recording. Made it very confusing and annoying to listen to.

New Top Ten
This book was absolutely amazing. the characters were believable, the story poignant and sweet. it had some angst but really it showed that geeks and wallflowers are there even if people dont pay attention. I loved the HEA but what really set this book apart was the narration. Jacob Morgan and Ava Ericson are some of the best narrators you can find on audible. They both do male and female voices well, to the point you aren't pulled from the story. Jacob Morgan himself sounds like sex, and you find yourself wishing that awx scene would go just a tiny bit longer so you can get lost in the gentle growl of his voice.

Ezra + Raleigh = all the heart eyes!
5 Accidental Stars Raleigh Crusie has been in love with Ezra McDuff since high school. She’s also been invisible to him this whole time...until she’s not. Literally falling at the feet of the man is one to get him to notice her, and notice her he does. Ezra is the local football hero, turned high school coach that everyone lusts after. He never really paid attention to one of the newest teachers at the school until she falls at his feet and he drops his box of condoms on her face. I loved the flow of this book and how adorkable Raleigh really is. Accident prone is an understatement! But, I love how Ezra just goes with the flow and is there to catch her when she does fall, which is often lol. There is so much growth throughout this story as well as lots of life lessons. Classic LLV humor, with a touch of suspense and the witty banter I’ve come to love between her beloved characters. There were many subjects touched on that I felt LLV did justice in bringing the seriousness to life. No spoilers...you’ll just have to read and find out for yourself. Great start to what looks like another great series from Lani Lynn Vale. The narrators really hit this one out of the park. Angela - Alphas Do It Better Book Blog

loved the story, not the narrators
I am an avid Lani Lynn Vale reader & listener, but the two she had narrating this book almost bored me to death. There was just no emotion to their voices. I will continue the rest of the series because I love the author, but not happy if these two are going to be doing the rest of series. The two she had doing The Dixie Wardens series were the best two yet.

This is the first time for this author. I really enjoyed the story, characters, everything. I bought this audible because of the narrator Jacob Morgan and was pleasantly surprised by Ava Erickson. They bring life to a story that was already very good.
