Summary

We used to be in love...and to be honest, I still am.

I’m at a crossroads in life. My body is scarred and battered. My spirit is struggling. But I have another chance to do what I do best - make a difference in the Army. Of course, it will mean working under my ex-boyfriend’s father. That feels like walking right back into a combat zone.

Seeing Teddy again takes my breath away. He wants us to be friends. I want...well. I want whatever he wants, whatever he needs. I’m not sure that he can want an alpha like me again - too much history between us, too much time since I broke his heart.

But when he takes me to bed, I can’t help but wonder if there’s a chance for us. And when he falls pregnant with my kid? It makes me the happiest alpha in the world.

Omega’s Secret Crush is the first audiobook in the Omegas Under Siege series. This audiobook, and each audiobook in the series, can be listened to as a standalone work with a guaranteed happily ever after!

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review. PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!! To my ratings: 5* - very very good it's like an A+ 4* - very good and will be often re-listening it's like an A 3* - it's more then a one-time-listening. it's like a B

The scarred Alpha and the nerdy omega

Teddy was in love with Ro since they were teenagers. When he comes back scarred from battle and working for his dad, Teddy seizes the opportunity. I like an omega who fights for his rights to work and be on the same level with an Alpha. It took them a while to sort out their relationship but they were great for each other. Happy ending!

We have history...but I'm not the same as before

Can time away at war and returning with burn scars on my body still allow Teddy and me to pick up where we left off? There are more than one road block in the way. Teddy's father wants Teddy to have nothing to do with me. Teddy gets pregnant even though the doctors have said I can't father children. Love finds a way. Really enjoyed every aspect of this book, characters, story, and narration,

Love Blooms in a Garden of Weeds

An injured Army Ranger and an omega should be able to have a bit of no-strings attached fun, right? Roman, on a medical discharge, was trying to rebuild his life after an incident that took the life of one of his troops, and left him with burns over the left side of his body. No partner wanted to deal with the reality of war. Teddy was over being treated as less than capable just because his heat upset the alphas in his department. After being unceremoniously demoted to a basement office, Teddy decided it was time to pursue his own interests. Two completely different people, two separate careers, two souls wanting the same life. How can Fate bring them together? Narrator Bill Burrows leads us through a touching story of life changing events, unfair expectations, a Human Resources nightmare, and a love that blooms despite the weeds.

Second Chances

A great second chance romance. Teddy and Roman are wonderful characters who have a second chance with one another if only Teddy can forgive Roman for the past and if they can both stand up to Teddy's father. I really like them together and enjoyed watching their relationship develop. I was really glad about Teddy's father's reaction. The narrator did a great job with this story and all of the characters. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

Being valued for your true self is so powerful!!!

Really being valued for your true self is so powerful. A second chance for love requires both men to be vulnerable and true to themselves.    I loved the narration of this story, it really brought both of these men alive for me.  Finding a balance between the dreams for work and for one's personal life can be difficult and these guys really had to figure that out.  They had to learn to trust themselves and each other again.  Teddy and Roman have chemistry to burn and their attraction is soul deep.  Roman is still loving Teddy and yet he has to find value in himself to be ready for a real relationship. Being wounded and losing his friend in the war ans left its tole on Roman. Teddy is use to fighting to be treated as an equal in an Alpha dominated world.. he has to learn to accept Roman in his life. Teddy has to learn to trust and believe that Roman is here for forever.  Such a great couple an i so enjoyed this story!   This is book one of the A Fort Greene Novel series.  (Under Siege Books) and i am looking forward to listening to the next book.

Roman & Theodore

Roman and Theodore dating during high school but broke up when Roman joined the Army. The military information was wrong at every turn and distracting every time it was mentioned. The Army does not work this way. Roman cannot re-enlist without going through a recruiter and getting a full medical clearance. After all of his damage and therapy, he may not be fully deployable and therefore unable to re-enlist. He would also be required to attend Drill school to be properly trained. The Army does not refer to enlisted as Sir. He would not continue to have appointments at the VA if he re-enlisted. No one deploys for six years. Everyone constantly tells Roman how dumb he was, even he believed it. Theodore's father always said how much he didn't beat around the bush but cannot say or do anything without being overly long-winded. Teddy says he wants to be a strong Omega and how important his career is, but he continually bows to the whims of the Alphas at work and MANY HR complaints he should file but goes along with.

A wonderfully written book

This was a very well written and thought out book! The characters were well developed and the story line flowed effortlessly. I found the characters to be rich in personality and they seemed to be very real to this listener. Like someone I would know at work or at the club, etc. I felt so much for poor Teddy, he seemed to get the short end of the stick all the time. No matter how hard he tried. His father was a tyrant in my opinion. Roman was a cold fish, sorry but that's how I call it. His career seemed to be more important than his feelings for Teddy. That's all I'm going to say, I don't want to spoil the book for you. For me, Mr. Burrows narrations was an excellent addition to the overall enjoyment of this audible book. An avid listener/reader in Rock Tavern, NY.

A nice story

So, this was a nice story, and I really liked Teddy, and it was really easy to understand his issues and shortcomings. But I had quite a bit of troubles with Roman, and the relentless statement that he wasn't the 'brightest crayon on the box' or whatever iteration was used. He's presented as someone who lived of his looks, which is something I truly dislike. And yes, he has grown after all that happened when he was on duty, but... I still don't buy their relationship. Because Teddy IS a genius, and there is no way that someone who is so smart would want someone who is presented as quite stupid, TBH. But, as I said before, I really liked Teddy's journey, and I liked his friendship with his co-worker... oh, I can't remember right now, argh! It was Olivia? Anyway, I enjoyed more this relationship than the one with Roman :P Bill Burrows does a great job with the narration :D
