Summary

"The perfect blend of uber alpha with a tender side." (USA Today best-selling author Jane Henry)

Sorry, Printsessa, freedom isn't in the cards for you.
You're mine now.
I came for revenge.
The Tacone Family wiped out the Chicago mafiya.
My bratva. My family.
So I captured their little sister.

Now that I have her, I don't want to let her go.
I'd rather keep her forever - my captive bride.
They'll pay a dowry instead of ransom.
At the end of the day, the girl and the fortune will be mine.
Because I'll never relinquish their queen of clubs.

Note: This steamy stand-alone dark romance is the sixth in USA Today best-selling author Renee Rose's Vegas Underground mafia series. HEA guaranteed - no cheating, no cliffhangers.

Really enjoyable

This was yet another fantastic story from Renee Rose, yes it has kidnapping but it wasn’t as dark as some of Renees books which was a nice change. That being said I love her darkest books too. This one was very enjoyable and the characters drew me in. I was actually surprised when it finished as I had forgotten that I was listening to a book. Absolutely loved it

Lovely mafia fairy tale

I liked this a lot. Well, it's safe to say I like this kind of forced proximity (kidnapping), but I'm glad this wasn't a psychological thriller of sorts and it was truly a romance on it's core. A mafia fairy tale.

The situations weren't very realistic, the bad guy wasn't really a bad guy and the h actions were dubious to say the least. But I like it anyway Lol It was insta-lust and insta-love, but the h put up a fight pretty good and didn't throw her arms around her kidnapper right away, so we get the right amount of sexual tension.

This isn't dark at all, there isn't any non-con or dub-con, or highly morally questionable attitudes but the kidnapping itself. I don't think I'll read all other books in the series since they seem very similar. I only read this one and it can be read as a standalone.

Ohh Benjamin Sands's narration was amazing! I love his voice, it was deep and raspy. He did the female voice amazingly though, it wasn't forced, annoying or anything, just good enough. I will definitely listen to him again.

Intense

I listened to this audiobook this week and I did enjoy it.
This is an intensely hot and sexy story that kept me listening.

The narrator did a good job but I do wish there was a female narrator that read the parts of the female character.

It was great

I haven't listened or listened for that matter to any mafia books. A lot of romance mainly paranormal but not this specifically. I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the story, the accents, the big bad mafia guy, woman with a heart of gold etc. It definitely portrayed family and the importance of it. I was really happy about the diabetes that was thrown in and the kidney failure. Additional things pertaining to that specific illness really showed how Glad felt about his other half. The narrator was excellent. He did a great job.

Alessia and Vlad

Vlad kidnaps Alessia at her brother’s wedding. She is the Tacone brothers sister. He kidnaps her in retaliation for killing six of his people. That left Meeka, a 12-year old, an orphan. Turns out Meeka is a really good kid and had a great role in this book. Vlad takes Alessia to Russia and marries her. Although she tries to escape, eventually she falls in love with Vlad. Vlad really softens towards her. There is some suspense with Vlad’s boss. This story had a very nice ending that suited all of them, including Vlad’s boss. Benjamin Sands is a great narrator. He brought the Russian Vlad and Meeka to life.

Edge-of-your-seat Action & Romance!!

Wow. Dueling mafia families, and one of the best romances I've read / listened to. Love these characters, their backstory and the journey they travel together. The narration is terrific. Pure entertainment to be found here.

Awesome

This is such a great book. I have not read the first 5 books but I was not left in the dark. It works as a stand alone!

The narrator did an awesome job with both the male and female perspective.

Thank you so much for the free download!!

Enjoyable story

I really enjoyed this story. The H is supposed to be a bad boy, but he secretly has a heart of gold. There are a lot of ups and downs in this story and a lot of adventures. :) It was my first time reading a book in this series, but it was easy to follow along even if you haven't read the other books.

Loved his queen of clubs!

As a diabetic with many of the issues the heroine was having where do I sign up for a Vlad of my own? I could use someone to push me when I fail to take care of myself. Loved the relationship they built together.

Great series

I just love this series. This one though, felt like it was more in depth. I liked the background stories and how detailed they were. Even though this was a shorter read, it didn’t feel rushed, the length was perfect for story and character development.

The narrator does a really great job too, but his Chicago accent misses the mark, sounding more like a New York accent. It doesn’t ruin the story though.

I really enjoyed this book and it’s definitely worth it credit.
