About this listen
When obsession and possessiveness collide…
Thomas Lauder
Easton is my hero, and I’m obsessed. He comes into my life like a knight in shining armor, saving me from a horrible customer at the coffee shop. Then, out of the blue, he asks me out on a date. How could I say no to the mysterious, handsome man? My life revolves around surviving my lying, gambling-addicted father and taking care of my younger sister while trying to earn my degree. Easton gives me the stability and honesty I didn’t know I needed. He’s straightforward and knows exactly what he wants. I do, too. I want Easton in my life forever.
Easton Virgil
I have a new family, but my life is still incomplete. Now that I’m nineteen, I have strong needs, and the loneliness is consuming. Thomas isn’t typical, but he’s attractive, and I enjoy his worship of me. He’s obsessed, and I feed off it. It makes me hungry for him. He’s perfect for me, and I’ll do whatever it takes to keep him. He belongs to me and no one else. But when his useless father is the reason Thomas is ripped from me, I nearly burn the world to the ground to find him. No one better have harmed him, or they will pay.
Listening in order will add more pleasure to the listening experience and understanding the characters better, but they can technically be listened to as standalones.

Listening to Harley Chase narrate this story, you could hear how Thomas gushed all over Easton. Easton's honesty was refreshing to hear and I smiled as I listened to Easton, hearing his bluntness.
When things with Thomas's family got dangerous, you could sense the terror and Easton's frustration.
Whilst this is the last in the series, it was good to catch up with The District and whilst I will always have a soft spot for Dante, Easton and Thomas are my favourite couple.
Great Narration

Normally I’m more of a bubbly romance kind of reader…when I was young I loved thriller and a good assassin story and this one had me totally hooked!
I love it when the story and character is dark, mostly scary but loveable and I’m cheering for the bad boy in the end!
So when it turns out you rooting for the bad boy - the murderer and soziopath - that always means that it’s a very good storyline and exceptional writing.
Easton is quite direct, has no filter at all and is honest to a fault. He can’t feel emotions or empathy - but Thomas feels loved by him in his own way.
Easton is possessive and wants to take care of Thomas who is amazed that he chooses him to be with.
They have a unique dynamic - and sometimes a very hot and special approach to their relationship.
After a scary event that takes Thomas from Easton, who gets furious an inpatient and does everything in his power to get him back, they get their HEA … however that works for them.
Reading and listening to this book - the narration is perfection - Thomas sounds amazing - was so exciting and scary and after finishing it I am still intrigued for the other books and all the other guys in this series.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Totally hooked by the bad boy

However Easton and Thomas are a very close second i love how Easton just says what is the truth yet no one believes him having an autistic son i recognise so much of him in Easton . As usual Harley Chase was perfect narrating all the characters.

Story - 4.5 stars. The last book in this very special darker series, with a fitting ending for the MCs and the other couples from the earlier books. I really appreciated the way Easton was written, with great acceptance of his unique way of looking at the world. No one, including the author, saw any need to try and change him. Thomas and Easton both felt that they needed each other desperately and were completely satisfied in that, so they shouldn't be judged by any neurotypical standards of what love should look like.
excellent
