Özet

Renowned cardiologist Carter Rogers is used to having things under control. His life, his prestigious reputation, his career, his future.

Things he can’t control this time around:

  • His meddling grandfather
  • His annoying gamer cousin
  • Buggy South American jungles
  • Being the meat in a feuding cartel sandwich
  • Getting kidnapped by a monologuing drug lord
  • Falling for his very hot, very mouthy ex-Special Forces bodyguard

In short, Carter’s peaceful, well-planned life has been...hijacked.

Maybe it's because I'm a Brit, but I love the simple humour of Licking Thicket. Although this wasn't as entertaining as in the other books, it was still a great listen.

I know others had an issue with the Spanish accents, I didn't as I don't speak a word of Spanish, so I suppose that helped.

Riggs, I could picture easily as an American beefcake and a little no it all. Carter, on the other hand, I had trouble with his character, not sure why.

But the romance side and the Horn of Glory, I had no trouble with. I love how Lucy and May come up with all the names and innuendos, my kind of humour. Borderline pure filth.

This is a great story, zany characters, lust, kidnapping, gaming. Well written, has good narration, and overall a really fun read.

I loved the tongue in cheek humour.

This book was really entertaining at times but, personally, I didn't like the narrator. His attempt at a Spanish accent sounded more Scottish to me but this is only a personal opinion.
