Darcy isn't the only new person in town. The secretive Vera also moves to the magical town of Brookhaven looking for somewhere to live and work. So when Darcy find her dead body stuffed in the trunk of the car she is driving she becomes the police's main suspect. Especially when it is discovered she was killed with a plant. Darcy has not choice but to investigate. Can she learn the secrets that Vera was hiding in order to unmask her killer? With both an ex fiancee and her brother in town it seems Vera's hidden past has caught up with but is she who she seemed to be?
I liked the narrator. She helped to give the story a voice that just made it come alive
