Summary

"I’m kind of a lady, but definitely more of a weirdo."

Hearing the woman at the table behind him say that to her friend should’ve turned Logan Gibbs off.

It doesn’t. In all honesty, it only makes him listen harder.

He’s had enough weird in his life to last a lifetime. The last thing his complicated life needs is a woman in it who has no clue what color you get when you mix yellow and blue together.

Yet, her obvious blonde moments aren’t enough to deter him. Nor is her lack of finger-painting skills.

"I’m a cop, not a miracle worker."

Hearing the man in the group behind her say that should’ve had Katy Roberts running away as fast as her feet would carry her. Katy’s father’s a cop, and it’s hard enough to live her life with daddy trying to dictate her every move. She needs another cop in her life like she needs yet another thing to go wrong.

To add onto that, she can’t find a job, has no love life to speak of, and has to be the oldest known virgin in Kilgore, Texas.

Yet, when she sees his painting - a painting that resembles a piece of the male anatomy more than the lighthouse they were supposed to be painting - she knows that she has to give him a chance.

The very last thing the two of them expect is for her father and his boss to force them to marry after an eensy-weensy accident. An accident that, surprisingly, both of them want.

I liked it alot!! 🔥

It was good and the characters are good, too. Logan and Katie are good together plus it was good that the og characters are in this and but now it is their kiddos that are going through stuff and thangs before they get their happily ever after.

A CUTE STORY & A GREAT START TO A NEW SERIES

I sadly missed the KPD Swat books which is about the parents of the characters in this new Motorcycle Patrol series but, after this very enjoyable story, I’ll be checking the Swat team out soon. This dual POV story packed so much into its five and a half hours.. a flash fire of first meetings, a stilling of waters as respect and attraction built, some storm clouds and drama caused by crazy exes.. and through it all, walls were crumbling, bonds were being forged and a beautiful love was blooming. Add in your woman’s protective Dad who is actually your Captain and he doesn’t like you, a much too tight clingy Motorcycle Patrol uniform showing.. no not showing ‘highlighting’, every single ridge, muscle and more, a bad case of PTSD and a neighbor that sleepwalks.. so there’s no wonder poor Logan paces the floor at night.

Worth a credit? Great chemistry, good story, barbed banter, humor and brilliant narration.. so yes, IMO, definitely creditworthy.

Another LLV favorite

5 Stars

Logan Gibbs has been on his boss's sh!t list for a while now and suddenly finds himself on his last chance with the new Motorcycle Patrol. Katy Roberts has started her dream job as a medical examiner and is surprised to find the cop who wrote her a ticket for illegal parking is the pacer that lives above her.

These two have tons of chemistry and when Logan realizes the girl he's quickly falling for is none other than the chief of police's (and his boss) daughter, he's expecting to get fired lol. But his overprotective Alpha side comes out and thankfully proves to Luke Roberts that he's worthy of his daughter's love. I loved everything about this one. The love, laughter, witty humor, and splash of suspense that are always a staple in any LLV story are brought to life by these narrators.

Ugh

There aren’t enough words to describe how obnoxiously awful this book is. Dialogue offensive—and I am far from being easily offended, the male narrator is too annoying to listen to, and the story line is beyond pedantic. Bought this because Erin Mallon was co-narrator, but not even she could save this mess.

It was fine

The story went by quick enough and the narrators were great, but I found the content a little lacking. The stalker/villain of the story gets away with his crimes and everything is just fine after some crazy events. It's a big suspension of disbelief.
