A love story that should be vile, sickening and too violent to be romantic, yet it is anything but. Just finished book two, about to start book three, but this is the most heartbreaking, sad coming together of two lovers torn by historical family feuding, both between both families and within the families themselves. So well written. The narration is spot on brings the characters to life in all their cruel glory. Cannot wait to read the conclusion. Best trilogy I have read, not for the faint hearted if sadism and abuse are a trigger, but worth persisting with to appreciate the core of the story and will the lovers towards a deserved HEA. I hope that is the conclusion, watch this space!
