Summary

He's determined to rescue her, whether she likes it or not.

Bucking family tradition, Dyre is determined to become his planet's first hero, even if it breaks his mother's heart. He sets out on numerous quests to bring justice to the universe. However, his altruism never seems to turn out quite as expected. Who knew doing the right thing was so hard?

In between saving those who don't want his help - and the chaos that follows - he rescues a damsel in distress. She doesn't appreciate his heroic abduction, and, even worse, once Dyre gets to know the outspoken human, he entertains less-than-noble thoughts about ravishing her.

It takes only a couple of comical mishaps, some hot kisses, and danger for Dyre and Betty to discover their happily ever after - and thank the stars for a heroine who ends up saving this hero, and the galaxy, from his chivalrous side.

My Hero

Another great adventure from Eve. Love it. It was funny and full of adventure. This time a mercenary trying to be a hero. Of course he rescues his mate. He just does not know it yet. I recommend this book and this series if you love adventure, romance and just plain old funny characters.

A comedy in space

I had no idea this writer wrote humorous alien abduction stories. It’s not funny but kind of quippy and silly. If that’s your trope, here you are.

we've hit a plateau

The story is essentially the same as all the others but more cliche and cringeworthy.

Better narration than book one

The story is just as enjoyable as book one, and the J F Harding does a much better job narrating the female lead this time. I recommend this audiobook and plan to listen to the whole series.

a funnier, purplier hero

this installment of the Alien Abduction series is my favorite. it brings us back to one of Louisa's girls from Dual Abduction, Betty, who's come of age. while scheming to acquire a cave full of treasure, Betty is "rescued" unwillingly by Dyre, our purple altruistic Hero from a mercenary race of aliens who's attempting to buck his family's tradition of pillaging and plundering. Dyre is out to rescue Betty, his damsel in distress and perform heroic deeds but it all goes sideways when Betty brings out his desire to ravish her, reverting to his race's mercenary ways, to Dyre's distress. this story has me laughing repeatedly all through it at the things Dyre says and does to assist Betty in her desire for freedom and adventure. he's determined to keep her and be her knight in shining armor. I've read this story more than all the others and it still tickles me at the crazy things he does and her reactions and then his confusion at her reactions gets me laughing again. the sexy scenes are well written and performed well by the narrators. I love the different voices employed in this performance- good job, guys! overall, this is a great book and a brilliant take on Ms. Langlais world. I recommend this series and this book to all my reading friends and family.

Fun Romp Through Space!!

It's kinda campy, funny, and definitely steamy. The entire series has been enjoyable! They really could be read in any order but starting from book 1 is recommended. I'm looking forward to book 6 being added to audible!

Hero vs Mercenary......

Which one will it be in the end.....? Fighting who you were brought up to be vs who you are trying so hard to be. It sounds exhausting, but worked out in the end.
