Story
It's been a long 17 years but Herschel Wood, Jr., is finally a free man and he's looking forward to reconnecting with his old cellmate, Bishop Stockley, who promised him a place to stay and some help getting back on his feet. Trent Armstrong has never been considered a catch. He's a 29-year-old laborer, an ex-con, and not the easiest person to get along with. He's used to being the one people cast to the side when they're done with him. Everyone he's ever cared about has walked out of his life without a backward glance, so he's used to the loneliness.

Every bartender should follow one simple rule - don't go home with the customers. That’s been easy for me to stick to, until the night a cocky, confident, and sinfully charming hockey star walks into my bar. This sexy athlete is too hard to resist, especially when he makes it clear how much he wants the “sarcastic, witty, hot AF” guy behind the bar - also known as me. Still, I’m not keen on breaking my own rules since I know where that can lead - no place good.

Story
Being a hit man has its perks, but I never thought getting an accidental mooning by an attractive PI while he’s caught on a fence would be one of them. While it’s not exactly love at first sight, he’s captured my interest and won’t let go. Suddenly, I find myself caught in a game of cat and mouse, determined to attract the attention of Jackson, the PI who should be my enemy. He pretends like he’s not flattered by my flowers and the mentions of my totally-not-fictitious blow-up doll, Randy (or was it Dandy?), but I know better.

After half a century of chaos, my retirement from leading the Community of Species Government has been bliss. No more hellhounds playing pranks. No more snippy demons demanding my attention. No more cajoling money from the wealthy to support the community. Just peace while I avoid my overbearing father and try to work out my next steps. Although...maybe three years of peace is enough. It might even be starting to get boring. In fact, an adolescent dragon crash-landing on my landlord's shed is just the kind of excitement I need - especially when he brings his species leader to my door.

Story
Callie Hayes is the hardworking manager of the Blue Flame, Arizona's most remote, relaxing guest ranch. She's given everything to the ranch, body, heart, and soul - three things that go haywire when her sexy employer suddenly shows up. Their intense, stormy past has taught Callie to never mix business with pleasure. But something about Jake is different now....
Summary
Detectives Mark Ruxsberg and Chris Green are very good at their jobs. Being the enforcers for God and Day's notorious Atlanta PD Narcotics Task Force causes the crazy duo to get into more trouble than they can often get out of. The pair never misses out on an opportunity to drive their lieutenants crazy with their dangerous, reckless, and costly stunts, landing them in the hot seat in front of God...often.
Ruxs and Green love their jobs and they don't mind the very demanding schedule that leaves them little time for socializing or dating. It's fine with them, they enjoy hanging out with each other anyway.
However, most of the men in their close circle of friends and colleagues are pairing off and settling down. God has Day, Ro has Johnson, and their Sergeant Syn has Furious.
For the past several years, Ruxs has only sought out the advice and company of one person, his partner and best friend Green, and vice versa. Both of these alpha males are presumed straight, but neither can deny the heat that's building in their once-"just friends" relationship.
Contains mature themes.

I have read this book countless times, and this is one of the rare times were I can say the audio is almost better.

My Special Favourite!
Roux and Green are my favourite couple in the Nothing Special Series and are enforcers, the muscle, on God and Day’s Narcotics Task Force.
They have been friends forever, but all of a sudden Rux is becoming aware that he has feelings for his best friend, and it understandably scares and confuses him, the last thing he wants is to ruin their friendship....meanwhile Green has had feelings for friend and partner for a while now and he wants more.....
This book is the sexiest and Hottest 🔥🔥🔥of the series in my opinion ! Bring it on!

My Ultimate Favorite 💜
I’ve read the ebook version of this several times and have re-listened to this audiobook several times as well. It truly is my favorite. It’s the one audiobook I could listen to over and over and I will never get bored or will ever tire of listening to the story.
I’m a sucker for best friends to lovers trope, but Ruxs and Green’s story is one of the best one there is. Their partnership is solid. They really get each other. Before they even entertained the thought of being more than partners at work, their solid foundation of being each other’s best friend make the transition so seamless even if it was daunting for both.
They also stepped up on their more involved role with Curtis. The transition, just the same as their relationship, was also seamless. It just evolved and they embraced the change fully.
I love that they chose to create their own loving family. There were challenges but with the help from rest of the team, they were able to come out of it stronger. 💜
Oh and these two are scorching hot together! 🥰
I also love that they laugh at and with each other, their sense of humor and their witty banter is so good. Have I mentioned this one is a favorite of mine? 😆
Aiden Snow lending his voice to bring Ruxs and Green’s story to life just elevated this book to a different level of awesome. He’s perfect for this book, for this entire series. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Here Comes Trouble
Ruxs and Green: Detectives on the Task Force. Partners. Best Friends. Definitely Trouble.
Once these two figure out their issues after years of being thick as thieves as partners on the force, they both realize they have stronger feelings for each other than just as friends and partners. These men have some seriously explosive chemistry together and I love how this author describes them. I love their relationship and I love Ruxs and Green as characters; they are both funny and outrageous and totally loyal.
I think that the way they handled Curtis and the drama that surrounded him was great. They both really stepped up to make sure it all worked out so that Curtis felt safe and secure with them, no matter what happens.
Ruxs’ mom is a horrible person who makes bad decisions over and over and I loved that Green took control of that situation and made sure that Ruxs was taken care of and didn’t have to deal with her drama and crap anymore as well. You can see their strong feelings for each other in every single thing that they do; they fully have each other’s backs.
Audio - Aiden Snow's voice is pure sex and perfect for both Ruxs and Green. I am so freaking happy to have this in audio after reading this book and series so many times already. The audio just adds a bit extra to an already great series of books.

I am so loving this series. I am especially loving the narrators voice. How can all the characters be complete butts while making you still love them. So far, I have loved all the couple's in this story. The next book in this series is not on Audible yet, so I will have to settle for just reading it for now, but as soon as it's on Audible I will be purchasing it.

Just keeps getting better
I will admit that I didn't care for the writing style or flow of the book 1 well after book 2 I pre-ordered this book and will continue to do so. I think for ke book 1 was just me getting use to the author and narrator and once I knew what to expect I've fallen in love with the writing and the narrator is great.
So in this book you still get to see God and Day, which are always laugh out loud moments. Mark and Chris are sweet in this freinds to lovers book. most of the books in this series is low angst which I just love, because the author doesn't create these super difficult relationships.
the books also sees more of Curtis (From book 1) and Genisis from book 1 also. This book touches on addiction from the view point of the impacted family member and I think it was tastefully and wonderfully written.
Last bust definitely not least the material scenes are mouthwatering and leaves me breathless. So of your new to this author I promise it's worth the buy or credit. The story, family, partnerships, and the steamy scenes makes this a delightfully entertaining story that I recommend

Just keeps getting better and better!
This series is wonderful. Each book builds upon the ones before and although this is about another new couple, Rux and Green, the characters from the previous books are all present and the close knit family is slowly building and developing all within the Atlanta PD. This book was a wonderful, GFY story with a lot of tenderness and sweetness, but still with that smoking hot alpha man sexiness that only AE Via can write. The side story with Curtis was so touching and I hope the author writes Curtis' story in the future. Aiden Snow was stellar as always!

One of my favorite audiobooks!
Aiden Snow does a fantastic job narrating this story! The story itself is amazing, full of serious, funny, heartbreaking, uplifting, and crazy-ass moments that reflect God & Day’s amazing team. Green and Rux are characters that have such unique and independent personalities- all alpha badass, but AE Via gives the reader a glimpse of what is behind the tough as nails side. This is one of my favorites of this series, and maybe of all times. It’s just THAT GOOD!
