From the Sunday Times and Richard & Judy Book Club best-selling author comes a thrilling, suspenseful tale that will leave you breathless.

You come to the retreat to be healed. You don’t expect to die.

Two years ago, Fran’s sister, Jenna, disappeared on a wellness retreat in Gozo that went terribly wrong.

Tom Wade, the now infamous man behind Soul Shrink Retreats, has just been released from prison after serving his sentence for the deaths of two people. But he has never let on what happened to the third victim: Jenna.

Determined to find out the truth, Fran books herself onto his upcoming retreat—the first since his release—and finds herself face-to-face with the man who might hold the key to her sister’s disappearance. The only question is, will she escape the retreat alive? Or does someone out there want Jenna’s secrets to stay hidden?

The master of suspense is back. Prepare yourself for the latest heart-in-mouth roller-coaster ride from the Sunday Times best seller.

Critic reviews

"An absolute belter of a novel." (Elizabeth Haynes)

"A sensational novel!" (Gillian Mcallister)

"Another twisty-turny and unputdownable read from the queen of psychological thrillers. Her Last Holiday is a chillingly plausible tale of why you should never, ever go on a wellness retreat." (Susi Holliday)

Another enjoyable listen by CL Taylor with the wonderful Clare Corbett reading. Really easy to listen to. Good plot. Good believable characters. Fast paced. Would make brilliant TV drama!

I have only listened to one other audible by this author,"The Escape'. Personally, I preferred the storyline in that one.But this one was on the whole good .Lots of twists and turns that keep you guessing to the very end. And quite a few surprises.Definitely worth choosing .The Narrator was very good.

An Easy Listener.

So many characters..some with aliases, which added to the confusion. Who was who? it was hard to keep up. That spoilt
the story which had much promise in parts.....

Confusing array of characters

A couple of things which disappointed me, people from Gozo are called Gozitans not Gozonians!! Also the accent given to a local did not sound Maltese or even Gozitan. Otherwise good story although ending seemed rushed!

Good aspects!

The story seemed disjointed at first.
The main character is a bit bizarre but interesting. Once it gets going makes more sense and is all tied up nicely. The retreat is a bit cult like…
