Summary

My name is Dominic Powers. My software engineering company, DPS, is one of the top 500 companies in the world. Conducting a search for my personal assistant brought an unexpected candidate straight to me. I knew she was different as soon as she walked into my high-rise office. She exuded innocence and inexperience. Those are two things in a woman that normally don't attract me, but I am apparently making an exception for her. She's young and delicate - and I'm afraid she won't make it in my world. But the carnal man I've kept hidden deep inside me says I have to try. She is my Sophia Vasco. I am her Dom.

Not good

Unrealistic story line, no depth to the characters. I listened about 2 hours and couldn't get into it.

Sucked in

This is not your average dom/sub story. There's so much more going on with mystery and intrigue and a budding romance. Without giving away spoilers, this does end in a cliffhanger that will leave you desperate for book 2.

I was a little disappointed with Rita Rush, I felt like her narration was forced but Robert Coltrane did a fantastic job. This is "duet" narration, which isn't my favorite in the first place but there was not much that could have ruined this story for me. I was sucked in and now I can hardly wait to start book 2.

Worth a credit? Definitely

female narrator killed it

What disappointed you about Her Dom?

the female character had no back bone. she would cry at the drop of a hat over the most ridicules things. The female narrator was horribly whiny and her audio recording was terrible. thankfully 75% of this book was performed by the male narrator. His recording was clear and crisp. his voice played well into the dom role.

DNF, wooden narration

Did not finish, struggled through 90mins of the wooden narration. the story itself was overly predictable with a female lead who was too naive to be credible.do not waste a credit...I'm not sure what the other reviewers were listening too?!?

A true Dom.

When I listened to HER DOM, I felt the hero, DomInic, was the genuine article Dominant when expressing his views about the Dom/sub lifestyle. And he practiced what he preached. He treated the heroine, Sophia, well. He put her needs above his own, provided security, safety and love for her. For this reason, I was inclined to rate the story highly. But I also had reservations about the speed with which DomInic hired Sophia in an employee capacity and entered into a Dom/sub relationship with her; and then the dramatic cliff-hanger ending.

The story is told entirely from Dominic’s point of view. I liked the narrator, Robert Coltrane and feel he was well-cast as DomInic. This was a dual narration story so Mr. Coltrane never had to pretend to be Sophia because narrator Rita Rush inserted Sophia’s dialogue into the narrative.

I came away not liking Sophia much, but I could also see she was torn when she was with Dominic as there was something outside of their relationship bothering her. And wow, Dominic and Sophia both suffered at the end. The question is, do I want to know what happens next?

The concluding novel is from Sophia’s point of view, making Rita Rush the main narrator and Robert Coltrane supplying Dominic’s dialogue. Perhaps when I have Sophia's point of view, I will like her. I’ve listened to the sample, and it sounds ok. So I may give it a go, but I don’t feel the need to rush.

I'm not sure...

The narration at times was not realistic at times, as if someone is just reading a book out loud.

The strong female who was so smart was really dumb, annoying and very weak. This took away from the book.

The dom who kept calling her "my angel" was driving me nuts. Imagine calling someone "my angel" as opposed to "angel"; Got to be very annoying.

Overall, it was okay. Can't say I highly recommend it.
