Great modern-day story, private detectives, witches, demons, supes, sarcasm, humour and good setup for (hopefully!) a continuing series. Didn't find it hard to follow, just two places where I had to listen twice to work out what was going on, but overall, great book. Hope there's more in the series.

Great characters, great plot , great pacing and good mix of action and subtle humour

I must admit it took me a chapter to get into the book but then I was completely hooked and almost transfixed with Marie Castle's brilliant writing . I also have to admit a book crush on Jaq , she is a brilliant character brought expertly to life by Carly Robins. Marie Castle has a descriptive writing style and great world building skills that really put you as the reader in the heart of the action , I really felt I was there . A brilliant book and I can't wait to read the next chapter
