Fantastic book

This book was a lovely book, and was very well written.

I fell in love with the characters and I was very pleased with the ending.

I would listen to it again.

I look forward to listen to other books by this author.

The only problem was sometimes the narrator voices for the characters kept getting confused on what characters voice she was meant to be doing. But overall the narrator did a good job.

Was good but i didnt fall in love...

Overall, decent book! The story was well developed with likeable characters. Of course, I found myself rooting for a good ending, but i just felt like some parts dragged on and on. Clearly, the premise had been foreshadowed, i just wondered why it took so long to get there. In addition, throughout the entire book, the narrator was breathy. I felt like she had went for a run or climbed some stairs right before she recorded parts. Was a little distracting for me. I've heard other works of the narrator and have not experienced this before. She did convey some moments very well though. I really felt the emotion and connected with the characters during the trying, deep moments...absolutely perfect during the love scenes tho. All in all, i'd recommend the book.

Slow burn romance with a lot of chemistry

Angie, a paramedic, is called to a car accident. The passenger of the car happens to be her girlfriend, who’s not supposed to be in an unknown woman’s car. The woman is not unknown to Vic, the ER doctor waiting for the ambulance at the hospital: she’s her wife. At first Angie doesn’t want anything to do with Vic, and the feeling is mutual, each more or less consciously blaming the other for their couple’s failure. But they soon find out they get on really well, and slowly and reluctantly fall for each other. Falling for your ex’s new girlfriend’s ex is not an easy situation to navigate.

There’s a lot of angst in this story. I love angst when it’s not artificially created by the author, and in this story, it stems from the way Vic and Angie met, the double betrayal they suffered. It’s a very very slow burn romance, with great chemistry and flirtation. And C. C. Sinclair’s efficient narration makes it even better.

Tracey Richardson is usually a sure bet. Her only flaw, if you can call it that, is that sometimes you think you’re at the end of the story and find out there are at least 25 pages left. Twice. You know how some authors rush the ending? She’s the opposite. Can you really fault an author for being too generous? No, not really.

Defintely a great listen! I loved the storyline and the character development. It had a great pace and was narrated well. Very much enjoyed it. A few parts had me glued to my player, listening, dying to know what was going to happen. Listen to this book! You won't regret it.

Delightful!

Great story and excellent narration. Moments that were so sweet I couldn’t push pause and moments that were so corny I couldn’t help but smile. Definitely worth the listen!

Great story

Loved the story the characters but not the narration . The narrator sounded like she had a very bad cold, and was breathing very heavily and nasal.

hard to finish

this book was just hard to get through. the narrator had a small selection of voices that sounded rediculous most times and the story lacked depth or development.
