Story
The average song is three and a half minutes long; those three and a half minutes could lead to a slow blink, a glimpse of the past, or catapult the soul into heart-shattering nostalgia. At the height of my career, I had the life I wanted, the life I'd always envisioned. I'd found my tempo, my rhythm. Then I received a phone call that left me off key.

Story
They say it happens when you least expect it. It did for me. It started the moment I saw the simple message pop up on my computer screen: Cameron’s Mac: Hi. And when I met the eyes of the gorgeous man messaging me from across the coffee shop, I never thought my reply would lead to the most intense, sexual, and passionate relationship of my life. We both agreed to check our bags at the door and put our future hopes and aspirations on the table. It worked. I fell in love with his no-holds-barred attitude, sexy smirk, and undeniably good heart...and for a while we forgot about our baggage.

Story
Triple Falls wasn’t at all what it seemed, nor were the men that swept me under their wing. But in order to keep them, I had to be in on their secrets. Secrets that cost us everything to keep. That’s the novelty of fiction versus reality. You can’t re-live your own love story, because by the time you’ve realized you’re living it, it’s over. At least that was the case for me and the men I trusted my foolish heart to. Looking back, I’m convinced I willed my story into existence, due to my illness, and all were punished.

My name is Lucy Tucker, and my life…it was perfect. I worked the dream job. I had the most incredible family and friends. My home, Whispering Willows, a ranch in Montana, was everything I could ever wish for. My adoring fiancé, Samuel Stone, loved me unconditionally. I had everything a girl could ever want. But one fateful event shattered my perfect life. It’s unimaginable how simple, ordinary words can change a person’s life forever. For me those words were, “There’s been an accident.”

Story
At fifteen I fell in love. His name was Jake Stephens and he took the abandoned, lonely girl I had been and made me whole. His love was a pure and unconditional love that made every day better than the last; a fairy tale of my very own. But this story isn't about Jake. It's about Abel Madden; the man I meet after the fairy tale goes to hell. A cocky, arrogant man who says what he wants, does as he pleases, and makes no excuses for it. He irritates me--downright pisses me off at times--but he also brings me back to life.

Story
The first time the local basketball star smiled at Elin, she was a goner. It was just so damn easy to fall for the dark-haired hometown hero with his charming smile and strong, athletic build. Thousands of sleepy smiles, aimless drives down country roads, and squeaks of the backdoor after a swing shift later, reality hits. And it hits hard. Falling in love was definitely the easy part. Watching it break apart was impossible.

Every year, the town of Devil Springs holds a celebration known as Devils’ Day. There’s no magic, but there might as well be: We wear masks, we play tricks, we party hard. Every year, the students of Crescent Reform School party the hardest. They’re the lewdest, the most wanton, ribald, and lascivious.

My future is a big ‘what if’ at the moment and I’m fine with that. For the most part. When Thayer Holmes moves in next door, the grumpy landscaper both fascinates and amuses me. When he asks me to nanny his kid, it’s a great way to make some extra money. It’s impossible not to fall in love with Thayer and his adorable son. There’s a big problem though. I’m eighteen. He’s thirty-one. Falling for someone almost fifteen years older than me wasn’t part of my plans, but sometimes things happen when you least expect them.

I've loved him as long as I can remember. The gangly boy with big brown eyes and unruly hair who grew up into an intoxicating man. He wears scruff like he invented it and ambles with a swagger that makes panties drop. Killian Shepard. Shep. We grew up together. We played Ghost in the Graveyard. Had our own rock band. It didn't matter that he was five years older than me. It didn't matter that he looked at me as a kid sister even as I grew into woman.

When romance novelist Kate Smith suddenly gets writer's block as she's beginning the final installment of her international best-selling erotic Bed 'n Breakfast series, she'll do pretty much anything to get her groove back. She manages to fly under the radar until the rugged and charming mechanic, Miles Hudson, notices the quirky redhead slinking in and out of the employees-only entrance. But she's way too intriguing to blow the whistle on.

I knew on the day of the attack that our lives were changed forever. What I didn’t know then was that I’d never see John again after he deployed. One day he was living with me, sleeping next to me, making plans with me. The next day he was gone. That was five years ago. A Thought Provoking Story
- By L Hayes on 18-10-18
Summary
Briggs,
Remember when we parted ways in Germany? It was the day I broke your heart. What you didn't know was that I was breaking mine too.
I thought they'd be enough - my husband and my son. That I'd get home and everything would go back to the way it was...before the war. Before the ambush. Before you. But, no matter how hard I try, I can't erase the trauma we shared. I can't seem to forget the way my heart beat in time with yours. The truth is, I'm lost without you.
I thought the nightmare was over when they pulled us from that hole in the ground, but nothing could have prepared me for the war I'd face at home.
I know it's selfish of me to ask, but, please, I have to see you one last time....
All my love,
Scottie

Wow! Wow! Wow! This book was literally everything. Get ready for the biggest emotional rollercoaster ever (this is not an exaggeration either). I felt so many things for Katy, Briggs and Gavin (and even little Noah). I cannot begin to imagine how these authors were even able to write this story. I floved the epilogue it was amazing!!! The narration, by Tracy Marks and Aaron Sherlock, was spot on and couldn't have been better.

Only occasionally do I come across the book that so pulls on my heart that I feel I need revovery time after finishing. What a truly AWESOME story. I couldn't stop listening. This book will go to the list of my favorites. You drew me in and made me feel the heartache of Katie, Gavin and Chris and my heart broke with theirs. The narration was outstanding as always by my 2 favorite narrators, Tracy and Aaron.

This was a miss for me
I really wanted to like this one. I am a huge fan of Kate Stewart. But I just couldn't get into the love story. I thought the first part of the book where Katie and Briggs are on a base was fascinating. And all they go through was heartbreaking and I understood it changed them. But the story just drug after that. And I was so hurt for Gavin that I will be honest, I didn't finish the story. I got to the last 30% and I gave up. The majority of the story the two characters you are somewhat rooting for aren't even in contact. And the female narrator is so robotic I just didn't feel anything for Katie. So I am so sad to say this was not the book for me. But, again, I am a huge fan of Kate Stewart.

Gavin, Katy & Briggs
Audible review. Triple POV. Standalone; no action until the last 10%. I love this story and I was looking forward to the narration but while the story is a 5 star read the narration falls in the negative numbers. Aaron Shedlock is tasked with reading 2 different POV and, while he reads well and has a nice voice, this is his worst narration. If the authors hadn't specified whose POV was being read at the start of their chapter, the listener would have absolutely no idea which male character was "speaking." It was unfortunate that he didn't differentiate by at least using two different tones. Tracy Marks is my least liked narrator; either you listen at speed 1.0 and hear her read painfully slowly growling her way through or you speed it up and get a halting growly robot voice. Trigger warnings: war; POW; murder; starvation; torture; rape; and cheating.
Military stories always strike a cord within me. This one definitely hit a new note. Within the pages of this book are great love, war, death, terror, forgiveness and healing. Thank you to both authors for your care and respect for the military, soldiers and their loved ones.
Katy and her best friend, Mullins, head to Baghdad for their first deployment as nurses in the Army. Katy, aka Scott/Scottie, leaves behind the only man she's ever loved, Captain Gavin Walsh, and their 6 year old son, Noah. This story is definitely Katy's story but these authors shine a brilliant light on those in her orbit.
Gavin is a career Soldier in the Army when he meets and falls for Katy, and boy does he fall. He's willing to sacrifice his happiness for hers. (I know I fell for Gavin because of the way he loved her.)
Sergeant Christopher Briggs, aka Briggs, is an infantry man already in Baghdad when Katy & Mullins arrive at his base. He's a soldier through and through and very much a single ladies' man. He and his 2 best friends, Jones & Morrero, form a quick friendship with Katy & Mullins.
Everything changes for the previously mentioned 7 characters when Briggs, Jones, Morrero, Mullins & Katy leave the base on a humanitarian mission. The shock as the story unfolds never seems to lessen. I felt every emotion as I read the pages. I honestly didn't want the book to end. I'm so glad this isn't a series because I like where the authors left them all.
Thank you ladies for writing this story. JP

So. Heavy.
Not sure how I feel about this... it's well written and I get it, but I absolutely hate Katie and how everything pans out. I have nothing nice to say about her.
Trigger Warning for combat, becoming a POW, rape, PTSD, and cheating.
