Summary

Assassins, traitors, and a goddess with a guiding hand culminate in more than one life-threatening secret....

Prince Walkyr d'Rojah's mission is to find an ancient artifact known as the Heart of the Cat - a powerful gem that connects his people, its magic woven through the Sarafin like his predatory cat is woven into himself. Walkyr's only clues are an ancient scroll and the legends passed down through generations. However, he isn't the only one searching for it. A sect determined to overthrow the royal families of the Sarafin, the Curizan, and the Valdier wants the gem for themselves. They are more than willing to do whatever it takes to obtain it.

Trescina Bukov's affinity with large cats has taken her all over the world, but this time, a frantic call from a rescue group compels her to fly to Wyoming in the US. A new species of leopard was discovered near death, she's told, and this "new species" sounds enough like a shape-shifter that Trescina hurries to examine this cat.

Their first meeting is explosive, and Walkyr is shocked when the human female connects with his leopard - recognizing what he is and what his weaknesses are, and this is only the beginning of how his mission has gone wrong!

meh

My least favorite book in this series. Zero chemistry build up, no steamy scenes, seems like a half effort. Really disappointed because I've enjoyed the series until now.

Peanut Butter and Jelly

First of all, let me say that David Brenin and SE Smith go together like peanut butter and jelly. His readings of her stories are always so awesome.

While this addition to the Sarafin Warrior Series wasn't my favorite it was very well written. My only issue with the story was that the beginning of the story had me a tiny bit confused and took a while for me to get into it. However, it was a good story. It also ties in with The Dragon Lords of Valdier and The Curizan Warriors series. A lot of Ms. Smith books have a tie in with other series if you pay attention. At any rate, she did it once again and now I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

If you go to S E Smith's website, you will see the order of the series. You do not have to read the previous books to listen to this one but if you read the series in order it will give you a better appreciation and a complete picture of this one.

All in all, another good listen!!!

As always, simply marvelous

I really enjoyed the story with all types of big cats. The prologue explained a lot of details that were necessary to suck me right into the story. Makeup to cover the stripes/rosettes interesting.

To Short But So Good!!!

I love all the series from the dragons to the magic and the cats!!! However as good as the this book was it was to short. It felt like some chapters were very informative but others were to fast. I liked how the heart was explained and of course the humor and action were great but it felt rushed. Still if you are a fan of the series you will love it. As always David did an amazing job . Highly recommend
