Summary

Hear the Wind Sing follows the fortunes of the narrator and his friend, known only by his nickname, the Rat. The narrator is home from college on his summer break. Freedom

Murakami almost permits you to explore strange ideas and fleeting thoughts by doing it himself.
These may go off at a tangent but then are brought back into the real world, often with a simple conquest, often a sexual one.
Not much to grab onto but enough to want more.
