Used a free credit to get this book. It sucks.

What would have made The Solution to Social Anxiety: Break Free from the Shyness That Holds You Back better?

If you have struggled with anxiety and shyness and tried to get rid of those, then you would have already done everything this book says. Nothing new or surprising. The book is only filled with stories of other sufferers. Stories that many people could easily relate to. That's it. No convincing "solution" to be seen/heard from this book. I suggest that you should just put yourself in more uncomfortable social situations and eventually you will get used to it. Avoid this book. :)

A must for sufferers of Social Anxiety & Shyness!

Picked this book up after suffering from Social Anxiety and depression for as far back as I can remember. That's a lot of pain in 43 years !

Following the exercises and taking on board all the advice has helped me overcome a particularly difficult time in my life ! I no longer fear meeting new people or become overwhelmed in crowds or endure the constant abuse of my 'Self Critic!'

This has been my Anxieties silver bullet ! I really hope it works for you to !

Solution?! Made me feel worse!

What disappointed you about The Solution to Social Anxiety: Break Free from the Shyness That Holds You Back?

It was nonsense. Cliched and incredibly patronising.

What was most disappointing about Dr. Aziz Gazipura, PsyD’s story?

The entire story basically.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Narrator was OK really, but the actual material was so bad.

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Errr...well...the cover is nice. I guess.

Any additional comments?

Sorry, I hate to be rude but this was a total waste of my money and my time. Social anxiety is such a terrible terrible thing, but this sort of book is no use at all - if anything this almost makes me feel worse :(

Made see see things a lot clearer then i did befor

Where does The Solution to Social Anxiety: Break Free from the Shyness That Holds You Back rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Not listened to many before but definatly recommend if you think you may have social anxiety

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Some scenes when Dr Aziz is telling back scenarios of real life discussions he had with clients with SA made me laugh out loud, but they all really struck a cord with similar feelings i have had, so it was easy to relate.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Be prepared to see change your perspective on things - maybe not of life as a whole - but see things a little differently.

What a waste of my time :(

Repeated info, read a million times before. Nothing new. Same old stuff from years ago.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Solution to Social Anxiety: Break Free from the Shyness That Holds You Back?

The whole book needs rewritten in my opinion with all the new studies we have into social anxiety. This felt out dated.

Very little help at all

What would have made The Solution to Social Anxiety: Break Free from the Shyness That Holds You Back better?

I a more human approach. it felt too clinical and not very true to real life.

Has The Solution to Social Anxiety: Break Free from the Shyness That Holds You Back put you off other books in this genre?

A little bit yes :( I just wanted help with my social anxieties.

I just fond it too clinical, too unrealistic, too far removed from what life is REALLY like to be of any real use. Felt a bit old fashioned too, doesn't feel like something for 2016.

I already tried few tasks the author offered it helps to shift your thoughts about yourself and become more confident.practice is the answer

It's great to follow the exercise on this book

This is not just to read, it is to follow the and commit to the methods proposed by the author. Together with the other 2 books from him, I have found new ways to get were I wanted, it's a slow path but it's working for me
