Narration too shouty and book not for me

Would you try another book written by Florence Scovel-Shinn or narrated by Dixie Glassman?

No, not for author or narrator

What was most disappointing about Florence Scovel-Shinn’s story?

The language used, the very religious descriptions and the indecipherable message.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Too loud and harsh for what was ultimately a religious message. I was expecting something more spiritual and more about influencing through language

Any additional comments?

If you want to understand God, try Conversations with God. Much better.

Beautiful, very beautiful!

Thanks for writing this book misses Florence. Thanks for sharing it, publishing it. The narration was beautiful and fast phased just the way I like it.

Hated this

Narration was terrible--spoken way too fast. I can't even grasp what is being said. Feels so scattered. Didn't realize it was religious based, too many scripture references. Hated this book. Only listened to 10 minutes. Waste.

This is a Collection of Shinn's Notes

Would you try another book from Florence Scovel-Shinn and/or Dixie Glassman?

I am a big fan of Shinn, but this book does not do her legacy well. It is a collection of some notes and of course they jam in into a book, and when read, it sounds like someone reading a collection of sticky notes.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Dixie Glassman?

I like her in other readings, but she is blazing through the "notes" in this book, so I had to set her spec to 85%.
