Summary

There are a lot of personality tests out there designed to label you and put you in a particular box. But Dr. Caroline Leaf says there's much more to you than a personality profile can capture. In fact, you cannot be categorized!

In this fascinating book, she takes listeners through seven steps to rediscover and unlock their unique "you quotient" - the brilliantly original way each person thinks, feels, relates, and makes choices - freeing them from comparison, envy, and jealousy, which destroy brain tissue. Listeners learn to be aware of what's going on in their own minds and bodies, to lean in to their own experience rather than trying to forcefully change it, and to redefine what success means to them. Released from the suffocating box of expectations, they'll embrace their true identity and develop a clear sense of divine purpose in their lives.

Knowing and understanding our identity empowers our choices. Unlocking one's you quotient is not optional - it is essential.

Great for Christians, strange for a Norwegian?

This talks about God, a lot. It sort of suggests that you cannot become a perfect you unless you subscribe to God and the Bible as the most inspiring teaching in the universe. If you do, this book is probably very inspiring. If you do not, this book is very strange. I do not believe in God, although I see that it can lead to happiness for many and can be used as a tool for dealing with life. Personally the narration is a dealbreaker. Margaret Winston sounds like she has seen the light, and I can almost feel her intense eyes piercing through me, herself not doubting a single uttered word. So for Norwegian readers who are not personally Christians I recommend Dr. Leafs book "Think, Learn, Succeed" instead. That book is a whole new ball game.
