    "Encouraging"

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was really good. It took the time to explain the small cues in conversations and social interaction and the issues involved in small talk in general. It was a very encouraging read, and Corinne Phillips was a brilliant narrator who really brought the book to life.

"Easy listen and easy to follow!"

Lots of common sense in this short audiobook. Small Talk was an easy listen, the narration was fantastic. Basically becoming comfortable with making small talk comes down to consciously creating new habits and this book has some practical ideas on how to do it!

    "Really helpful!"

This is a pretty short audio but provided enough helpful information that I already see a difference in my social skills and awkwardness. Good narration! Recommend to anyone who is self-conscious in social situations and just needs a little advice to help.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. The fact that I was gifted this book had no influence over my opinion of it.

"Direct tips to improving small talk"
What did you love best about Small Talk?

It's a real direct approach, no stalling around any of the topics, so although it's a short book, it's packed with good strategies.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

More examples of common situations and how to handle them would be a good path to improve the book content.

What about Corinne Phillips’s performance did you like?

Solid performance, haven't heard any problems.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This isn't the kind of book that becomes a movie...
But it could easily become a course, and the original title would fit well.

    Any additional comments?

Easy listen, very light hearted, could relate to some situations that I have experienced, specially the infinite talks about the weather! I would recommend to anyone who want to get deeper connections using small talk.

"Gets you past your nerves AND the weather"

This cheerful how-to book helps shy people get past Hello in social situations with practical, advice you can start using right away. It offers advice on how to excuse yourself from a conversation, and how to avoid Yes and No questions and answers to get a real conversation flowing.

Even if you're not shy, there is advice on how to strike up conversations, and how to balance the conversation so that it's not all about you (or them!).

I was provided with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Highly recommended if you just dread going to parties or business functions because you never know what to say to all those strangers or people who work with your spouse. You will be newly empowered after just a few hours with this helpful book. Narrator Corinne Phillips does an outstanding job giving the many useful tips with cheer and confidence.

    "Succinct but jam packed"

Coming in at just over an hour long 'Small Talk' wastes no time in giving you the good. It moves quickly through many hints and tips, giving examples along the way, to help you to improve social situations. It provides ways to overcome anxiousness, engage in varied and interesting conversation, and to accept then you still make awkward mistakes.

I really liked that it took the time it needed to explain each item, but did not stretch it out. I find that many 'self help' books take an hours worth of discussion points and stretch it into an 8 hour book through lots of padding and anecdotal stories that don't add much meat. This book does not to that, and is much better for it.

Narration by Corinne Phillips is good. Clear, well paced and easy to understand. The short text doesn't give Phillips a whole lot to work with in variation but it isn't needed here. The narration provided works well for the book.

    "Everyone should read this book"

I was lucky enough to be chosen to review this audiobook. Connie Phillips did a wonderful job of narrating this book. It is a quick listen but so full of information. My Mom who is 80 listened with me and said she learned a lot. I will listen again and again because you gleam new information each time you listen. I think everyone should read or listen to this book. Everyone could use this info no matter their age or gender.

"if only I have heard this book 5 years ago"

it's a very cool self-help book it talks about your charisma about how can you speak to people and I remember myself is a very shy teenager that's couldn't speak her voice because I'm an invilid and nowadays after a lot of psychological help I can speak but I'm thinking what would have happened if I ever heard this book like 5 or 6 years ago I'm thinking it would be easier for me to talk to people to be more charismatic it's very good self-help book
