Did you ever wonder why you are attracted to certain scents? Why you walk right up to someone to ask what they are wearing? This book will help you get a better idea why we use our nose and not our brain when choosing fragrance. We have smell memories and we are able to discern fragrances that we have encountered before.
This favorable scent will unlock mysteries and keys to our growth and understanding of ourselves. Are you intrigued? Dive deeper into the world of fragrance as JoAnne takes you on an aromatic journey of the senses.
Although there were nuggets of interesting content, the book is largely an advert for the author's product line and it felt like one of those timeshare sales events in which you wait forever for the promised content but the sales pitch keeps on going. The narrator's style felt a bit mannered - as if she was channeling Marilyn Monroe on late night tv......
What disappointed you about Sacred Scents?
This was not really about perfume but more of a commercial for JoAnne Bassett perfumes.
What was most disappointing about JoAnne Bassett’s story?
I learned about how Ms. Bassett got interested in her perfume business and what some of her perfumes are like, but I learned almost nothing about perfume in general
What three words best describe Heidi Paek’s voice?
Pleasant, warm, cheerful
What character would you cut from Sacred Scents?
