Summary

Understand passive aggressive personality and improve your relationships!

What is passive aggressiveness? Which people in your life display this behavior? How can you stem passive aggressive behavior?

Personalities: Passive Aggressive explains this common and insidious personality trait and how you can cope with it. You'll find out about how passive aggressive behavior is related to bullying, and how to recognize when passive aggressive behavior is directed towards you.

Here's a preview of what you can learn from this insightful book:

"Your relationships, if strained, may incorporate an element of passive aggressive behavior. You may not know it because this kind of behavior hides behind a facade and doesn't always make itself clear. It's every bit as harmful as aggression, which is shown in a physical way and can indeed have long term effects mentally. The damage done by people who use passive aggressiveness can be long lasting. It can indeed last longer than the bruises left after a beating. Children who experience it may continue right through their adulthood to feel the effects."

Do you feel like people are always picking on you and interfering in your life? Do you feel that what you do is never good enough? Do the people around you always seem to make unreasonable demands on you?

If so, you may have a passive aggressive personality. Don't worry - this helpful book can teach you to understand yourself better, improve your relationships, and live a happier life!

A helpful book for givers and receivers.

I think this book is really helpful for both givers and receivers of passive aggression.
The tone of the book is that of compassion and it models a good way in which to address this destructive behaviour in a partner or person you know.
The book is constructed well in that it assumes it is the problem in the relationship not the individual per se. In this way it avoids blame and focuses on responses that are positive.
Helpful for people in different situations, not just in marriage relationships.

A simple, yet powerful insight into the subject.

Would you listen to Personalities: Passive Aggressive again? Why?

Yes. This book was cheap and explains in detail and simplicity, the workings of people with passive aggressive behaviour. From both the point of view of someone who exhibits this behaviour and how to prevent it and is also useful for people who encounter passive aggressive people.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Personalities: Passive Aggressive?

The simplicity with the combination of detailed examples

Which character – as performed by Jeff Moon – was your favourite?

N/A

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Wrong question considering the nature of the book. It highlighted many of my own behaviours and was truly an eye opener.
