Summary

Dr. Joseph Murphy’s classic book The Power of Your Subconscious Mind was first published in 1963 and became an immediate best seller. It was acclaimed as one of the best self-help guides ever written.

Following the success of this work, Dr. Murphy lectured to thousands of people around the world and millions tuned in to his daily radio program. In his lectures, he pointed out how real people have radically improved their lives by applying specific aspects of his concepts. Now these lectures have been combined, edited, and updated in six audiobooks that bring Dr. Murphy’s teachings into the 21st century and provide listeners with his proven tools to help program their subconscious minds so that they can radically improve their lives.

In this audiobook, Dr. Murphy discusses the core concept that it is our thoughts and feelings that create our destinies. Whatever our subconscious and conscious minds agree upon will come to pass. Fortunately, we have the power to control our thoughts, and Dr. Murphy gives us the tools we need to reprogram our minds so that we can experience inspiration, happiness, and fulfillment instead of negativity. As we feed our subconscious with uplifting ideas, wonderful events will unfold in our lives.

Too repetitive in GAWDs!

Had this book not sounded like a conversion to the Church sermon it would have scored 5 across the board. The narrators way of dropping voice to quote bible passages, sometimes quickly as though embarrassed by then was tediously irritating made even worse by a cock sure American accent. Too much for my British ears but may be okay to Americans if the sickly condescending approach doesn't put them off. Baring it all sounding like your regular over the top sermon the contents is quite informative, enlightening and truthful and I would say rather than miss out on the information tolerate the condescending bible bashing dialogue and just pick out the gems of information. Would I read it again? No. Am I glad I read it? Yes.

Any additional comments?

Disguised as a religious sermon, holding an illuminating wealth of knowledge for those capable of understanding the hidden meaning. It is historically common for such knowledge to be passed down this way to avoid persecution from faith based religions such as during the times of the inquisition or the crusades of christianity that swept through Europe and the middle east and as far as the Americas slaughtering millions of innocents in the name of faith.
