In order to spar or perform techniques or patterns at your very best, it is important to develop a relaxed and stable inner state, whatever the situation you find yourself in. Successful martial artists are completely absorbed in the moment, relaxed, yet focused and energised too. They imagine themselves as winners and have faith in themselves and their abilities. This inner calm enables them to develop their peripheral vision or broad focus.
Being fully aware of your peripheral vision allows you to focus on your entire field of vision instead of focusing on just one spot, enabling the martial artist to sense and respond to an attack from any direction with speed and accuracy.
This hypnotherapy recording, created by Darren Marks, one of the UK’s leading hypnotherapists, uses powerful audio technology and is designed to help you to relax, focus, and develop these abilities within yourself. It is also includes two versions of the recording, allowing you to use it at the end of the day before drifting off to sleep or to emerge and continue with your day.
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
A mindless drone or a child.
Has Masterful Martial Arts turned you off from other books in this genre?
Yes. The psudo-psycological visualization in this audiobook was a waste of my time. "Imagine you are seeing yourself do a sequence of movements." Come on.
How could the performance have been better?
The readers voice was trying to be soothing but came off annoying.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Masterful Martial Arts?
The Part where the first half of the book is played twice to make the run-time longer.
Any additional comments?
I am a Martial Artist and feel in tune with my inner self. I truly wanted this to be cool, I was open to the experience. Please don't bother.
