Thinking mastery

Without a doubt, Edward De Bono is the father of modern thinking. Most of us have heard of lateral thinking but don't necessarily realise that De Bono created it. The book almost seems too easy to understand, and yet, when you get the the part on the 6 hats, it suddenly becomes an awakening to new ways of thinking and the progression and evolution of thought.
I would love to see many more beautiful minds around and I believe this information should be getting taught in schools, although it is at a comprehension level most can understand. Teach yourself, your family and your peers how to have a beautiful mind, thanks to Edward De Bono.

Too long

Without a doubt Edward de Bono is a real Masterhinker. Through this book he helps us to use our mind more effectively to gain a better understanding of the world. The book contains deep insights put into easy-to-understand language.
However, the book is VERY long. You will need some patience to finish it. Personally, I prefer PRACTICAL wisdom delivered in a concise manner. If you are looking for some hands-on advise (e.g. for business use), you will not find much in this book. If however, you just want to broaden your mind without being in a rush, this might be one of the best books to read.

Old info rehashed

This book starts with conversations and then moves to business based on previous ideas. Not really clear on the key goal

This book should be in every high school.

This is the second time round for me reading/hearing this book. I read the paperback version many years ago, my son read it recently and really enjoyed it so I downloaded it here and listened and enjoyed it all over again.

The readers voice is very calming. The content very educational and easily put into practice and you will see results when you speak with people in how you feel about the conversation and how you can make it more interesting. It helps you understand how to have patients in conversation and to not take anything personally. Great book all round, I fully recommend if you're wondering weather to get this book.

Schools don't teach you how to live

This book will. Please read (or listen) to this book. It may sound a little dry, or seem a little new age, this idea of a 'beautiful' mind, but at the core is a definite challenge - one that will try to change the way you look at situations. The first few chapters are all about how to agree and disagree with someone. I always thought I knew that, but actually the elements De Bono puts forward here have helped me keep my cool in conflict and encouraged me to be more open and listen rather than being quick to speak. There are a number of great tools given to help us approach life in a more respectable, less conflict-filled way, which in itself removes stress from all parties involved. I would highly recommend this book (audio or otherwise) to anyone, but that person must be willing to open themselves up to new ways of thinking, to new behaviour habits, and aim to push themselves out of the negative mindsets we have found our culture has adopted.

Great content but annoying sound

Content was short, sharp and sweet, but annoying music during every chapter conclusion. Good length of book

Great ideas for managing creativity!

This book will give you some great ideas for creativity. Although it seems a long book what it gives is interesting and very relevant. I really enjoyed it and would recommend for anyone interested in thinking strategies.
