There are many misconceptions and ideas that people have about the world of hacking, and you are going to learn a little bit about them. Hacking is an extremely complex activity that requires a lot of skills and knowledge. This book will give you a basic idea about what hacking is and how it can be done. In a world where no information is private, hacking is a useful tool. It's illegal in some cases but that depends on the way it is used. Hacking is only beneficial when you use it to make the world a better place. The final choice of what you will do with the information that is provided in this book is entirely up to you. Hacking is not easy. It will require a lot of time and patience in order to master it. "This book seems to be a great start for people who"
What made the experience of listening to Hacking the most enjoyable?

This book seems to be a great start for people who are interested in learning more about the world of computer hacking. My son is interested in being a professional White Hat and this would have been great information to get him started.

What about Chris Brown’s performance did you like?

Great book really works a lot...please listen to this book guys it is very helpful.

    Any additional comments?

He knows most of what is in the book already, but for those that are just getting interested, or involved, it seems to be a great resource. I think that there needs to be a bit more on the right and wrong of hacking and what can happen to you if you're on that negative side. Too many people think that they won't get caught and laws need to be changed for computer trespassing versus in person...in my opinion

    "Clever and powerful"

What I read is the first edition, hacking is about passion for elegance and mastery of s/w at a much deeper level, and appreciation from peers. Any software engineer should read this book or at least get familar with the concepts presented in the book, as "An understanding of these techniques is far more powerful than the end result of any single exploit".

    Any additional comments?

This book is an awesome book for hackers who will learn how the exploits work and the logic behind it, thats why i love this book as its not like the average "how to become a hacker books" which actually make you script kiddies, but this book talks on the intricacies of hacking, program exploits in depth giving you an insight as how the exploits works ,

    "Designed in beautiful order."
Where does Hacking rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

While almost every hacking book guide you with tools and how to use them, this book tells you how hackers designed these tools, very detailed, designed in beautiful order. i'll rank in high position.

    Any additional comments?

This book will teach you how to do it. It goes into incredible detail to help you understand exploits that are, most of the time, very close to the machine. It comes with a cd that has most of the programs prewritten for you, so time can be saved, though it is probably helpful to type up the code. Dexter Jackson starts with an introduction to C, and then buffer overflow exploits, and then several chapters on network protocols to understand how hackers used to exploit TCP/IP. If you are interested in the subject, this is recommended listening.

    "Solid introduction to hacking techniques"

Good overview and this book seems to cover the basics and has enough information to at least know where to start finding out more about advanced topics he book was read within one day and by that I mean a hour or two. This is the smallest book that I own and the content is very limited!

    "Thirst for knowledge"

A comprehensive introduction to the techniques of exploitation and creative problem-solving methods commonly referred to as "hacking." It shows how hackers exploit programs and write exploits, instead of just how to run other people's exploits. The first half of the book is dedicated to educating you on what hacking is, clearing up truth from fiction, bringing you up to speed on what to expect and giving you an overall picture of what the world of hacking is all about. This book explains the technical aspects of hacking, including stack based overflows, heap based overflows, string exploits, return-into-libc, shellcode, and cryptographic attacks .This book contains proven steps and strategies on how to become a true hacker novice. This book is not all inclusive by any means.

    "Great guide and explanation."

This is a decent book for any individual who truly doesn't know about every one of the types of hacking and furthermore gives us an interesting approach to shield ourselves from being hacked. I truly like innovation however most of the times I felt as if I am not coping up when it comes to a portion of usable innovation nowadays and how things are being done. This book lifted me up and it enabled me to adapt up to the complexities of hacking. I'm truly a novice in this subject however it was absolutely fascinating idea I can’t let go

"It is a very good book with great content"

There are a considerable measure of books available planned for individuals who need to hack. A great deal of them make them thing in like manner: they trick you into intuition there's any restricted to hack. The truth of the matter is that that is not a story which is truly compatible with reality. Hacking: The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Learn Hacking Effectively rather shows you to be the best programmer you can be, on the grounds that it doesn't hold your hand: it shows you wide ideas and rouses you to guide yourself going ahead with your hacking training.

    "interesting"

I wish there was more technical information in the book. I do understand that providing actual key stroke sequences would be a big no no, but it would have been helpful to have a series of books or articles to look into.

"Definitely recommend in your hacker library"

I think this read has been crucial for me. I recently got hacked and the incident made me want to understand the mind of hackers so that I will also get to understand why they do those things. And this book has been helpful on that aspect. It has been beginner friendly and made me comprehend a lot of things involved in hacking. I think it has been researched intensively and been written in a way that comprehension will be possible for all listen, newbies or not. Definitely recommend in your hacker library. Good references to further knowledge.

"All of us can become hackers"

This book made me realized and understood that the word hacking is not generally disruptive or troublesome as what I knew before. With this guide, I've known the intention of hacking is for the improvement of a situation, rather than of taking advantage of a situation. Hacking is actually all about programming. The book begins by explaining the effects of hacking from a global perspective and it explains hacking in its positive light.

This book is great for beginners, and everything is very clearly explained. I've learned a lot of new stuff about hacking, but the most important thing is that now I know how to protect my PC. Indeed, very useful reading!

    "Hackers beware!"

Hackers beware! This book is very informative and helps anyone using a computer to be less vulnerable! I found this book to be written for two audiences: the personal computer user and businesses who depend on digital technology. It is a valuable MUST read for any company. It lays out the entire process for evaluating, hiring and protecting a company’s digital information all through a very thorough blueprint it lays out. I do not have a technical computer background but I found this to be well written in understanding all the terminology, nuances, and steps to keeping my personal information protected.
