Publisher's Summary

There are many things in adult life that no one seems to teach you about. Learning experiences may vary, but many valuable life skills seem untaught in the modern education system, and one of them is reading body language.

Body language plays a vital role in communication, yet many don't know how to interpret body language or how to control their own body language so that they seem trustworthy to others. Everyone knows of its existence, but many don't use it or know what all the different gestures mean. You'll be surprised at how many people will think you're a bad person just because you didn't look them in the eye. Do you have trouble getting a job? If so, your lack of body language may be to blame. No one likes an interviewee who looks slouched. You'll learn:

  • What is body language?
  • Interpreting the head and face
  • Learning to use body language
  • Body language in other cultures
  • Much, much more!

So hurry up and download your own copy of Body Language: How to Read People Instantly, Master Non-Verbal Communication & Analyze People today!

"Good for VERY basic bodylanguage knowledge"
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    I did several times

    Any additional comments?

Very basic bodylanguage book. Excellent for beginners or those who just want to know the VERY basics of bodylanguage, but this book doesnt go much in depth and I wouldnt recommend it to those who seek a more detailed bodylanguage book or generally are familiar with bodylanguage.

Great book on the basics of body language. You can also learn how to use the body language to your advantage.

Although it does not provide detailed scientific background information, generally it makes sense. All in all, I am happy that it is a good value for the price.

    "Understanding body language"
Have you listened to any of Forris Day Jr’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No i will not compare bcoz this is my first book.

    Any additional comments?

Body language is one of the most effective ways to communicate our feelings or points nonverbally. I learned a lot from this book on how to analyze people's body language. Especially, understanding facial expressions easily improved my ability to evaluating others' feeling. Not only that, I also learned how to use body language myself more effectively. This book is a good read and easy to understand.

"This a great book and very informative."

This a great book and very informative. I have learned a lot about body language from listening this book. I don't know if it's Jimmy Cooper trying to use big words or someone else, but it makes it difficult to understand some stuff that is being said. I have a fairly broad vocabulary, but it seems like they used a thesaurus to find the biggest words possible.

    "Master Non-Verbal Communication"

I really liked the general principle of spotting comfort versus discomfort behaviors, as this heuristic makes everything easier to understand. And I appreciate how honest Jimmy Cooper is in telling us that there is no sure-fire way to know if someone is lying or not. Real life is never that simple to figure out. A phenomenal book! I will now look at everybody in a different way, and try not to be creepy when I pay attention to their body language, haha.

    "Great, I really enjoyed it!"

I am enjoying reading this book and i'm learning a lot about reading others people's body language and also learing about my own body language, and how to change my body language so i send more postive and open signs. The Power of Body Language was an interesting read for the most part and I found some tips that I utilized right away. But I am finding the information very useful and interesting. Great book. And easy to understand.

Jimmy Cooper has done everyone who wanted to improve the manner in which they are seen by others a huge favor by writing this book.

    "A manual on body language!"

I just listened to this a second time and I decided that there will be a third and fourth listen. While it would be helpful to have pictures of the expressions that are mentioned, everything else about this book is impeccable. Sometimes you may lose track of what is being narrated. Just start over and pay close attention. very informative, but sometimes hard to relate because the narrator has a monotone voice.

"Helpful in All Areas of Life"

This would have been infinitely better in print with illustrations. In fact, it would be incredible. As an audiobook, it is a bit challenging sometimes to picture the facial features or body postures/movements she describes. Nonetheless, a thoughtful, well presented and stimulating listen. Just because something could be better in a different media format, I can't take away stars. It definitely earned what I gave it (4's and 5's).

    "Determine a person quickly"

How can you analyze someone's identity? Is that even conceivable? I've heard it works comparatively for doctors and therapeutic maladies. I am psychiatrist yet it doesn't make me a mind-reader. It typically takes an hour of formal admission interviewing before I begin to have a grasp of the person's identity. The book gave me an alternate view on how to analyze people. I additionally figured out that body language helps us see beyond words and surface impressions. It's true, analyzing someone's personality requires further knowledge about numerous other things other than the ones specified. It's a productive listen!

Forris Day Jr a great job going through nonverbal language, if you can make it past the narration then you'll love the book. His voice is hard to handle.

Fantastic. Best book on body language and much more applicable/easy to visualize than some of his others. the book was good but it was difficult to concentrate on it. it could be read in a better way. the content is great.

Though it was great, I didn't like getting started, only to realize it want a real book, but a lecture. I liked that Jimmy Cooper himself gave it, and thought it was a new perspective from his other works which I enjoyed.

Taught me everything I needed to know about non verbal communication.

I would recommend this book to anyone.
