Summary

Do you struggle to get your point across to people? Do you ever feel like you are somehow weak and ineffectual in the way you communicate? Perhaps others just don't take you seriously. There is no easy fix for all of your problems. However, whatever those problems are, if social interaction is involved then a firm grip on the tenets of nonverbal communication can make it better. Your mother wasn't just blowing hot air when she told you to stand up straight. Mom knows: There is wisdom in those words, for the way we carry ourselves says a great deal about our character, our self-respect, and who we are.

No one knows more about body language than CIA agents, and it just so happens that we've got access to one who is willing to spill all the secrets about how to read nonverbal cues and body language. While he will remain nameless, of course, you will get an unfettered look at the mind of someone who not only listens to what people say but watches intensely what they do to detect signs of graft, deceit, and danger.

In this book we will look at how relationships, work, and personal safety can all be vastly improved by diving into the body language "rabbit hole". You won't imagine how deep it really goes, and utilizing these age-old tricks will have you at the center of attention or flying low under the radar, depending on how you choose to use them. So keep your chin up and your backbone straight as we delve into the often unnoticed world of how humans really communicate.

very little information. just a story

It's a story rather than a educational book. Not really worth a toffee.i think the title is miss leading.

Rambling

What would have made Banned Body Language Secrets better?

While the opening of the book is most attractive: learn to read people like a CIA agent, the rest was utter disappointment. It was nothing but a long rambling over a connection of advice that could have been found in any teen age do and don't do advice column.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Never managed to pass chapter 4

Not worth the time

Am not a fan. Didn't deliver anything that is not plain common sense. What made it worse was the sound of the narrator. They did not have his mike dialed in correctly and had constant high squeal on many syllables. It was all I could do to get thru the entire book

Brilliant book

If you could sum up Banned Body Language Secrets in three words, what would they be?

Will Apply Confidently

What three words best describe Jim D. Johnston’s voice?

nice base voice. Amazing expressionsI however blame the technology used seems not so comfortable to emphasis value of Jim's voice.

What did you learn from Banned Body Language Secrets that you would use in your daily life?

1. Deal with corporate world
2. Of course Sexual body language

Any additional comments?

3 Star because of the audio quality- experienced more of hissing trebles when plugged into ears. I have listened to other audiobook with the same ear phones and mobile. it works fine and smooth.

Don't waste your money.

Any additional comments?

I hesitated to buy this due its sensational title and the fact that it uses a pretty girl to sell the cover. Its short length (3+ hours) to address a complex topic was another red flag. All my expectations were met.

Horse hooey, skip this one

A basic Internet search for a body language pdf would tell you the same information in this book. Chapter 6 is hilarious about how to be an alpha male. Narrator's "s" are lisp-y which was distracting.
