Summary

If you go about your day trapped in the realm of thinking, it's difficult, if not impossible, to free yourself from stress and anxiety - and the interpersonal suffering that goes along with it. But if you're rooted in the now, explains Eckhart Tolle, you're already standing in a place of deep fulfillment. At the Source of Being brings you a five-part intensive retreat with Eckhart Tolle, presenting more than seven hours of in-depth guidance in the central aspects of his simple yet life-changing teaching.

Recorded amid the natural beauty of an Australian rainforest, Eckhart discusses a range of topics including:

  • How our obstacles can become an opening for spiritual growth
  • Attending to the all-pervasive aliveness that surrounds us
  • The realization of our "formless" identity
  • The only question that matters: Am I present at this moment?
  • The meaning of "saying yes to what is" - and the art of stating a "high-quality no"
  • Being the space in which things happen
  • That which cannot be threatened
  • Stillness and true relationship
  • Meeting situations with intense consciousness instead of reactivity
  • Eckhart's personal "self-destruction" story
  • How presence transforms our experience of uncertainty
  • Eroding old habits through the practice of detachment
  • Pre-egoic thinking and the archetype of the fool

"The only true cause of upset is losing yourself in the world or in your mind," teaches Eckhart. "Mastery arrives when there is total attention to being without a secondary motive." At the Source of Being is rich with insights and inspiration for integrating your "presence practice" into every aspect of daily life. Includes a helpful question-and-answer session with retreat participants.

Eckhart always delivers.

Listening to any of Eckhart's works always brings about the most wonderful sense of peace in my life and this recording is no exception. There are a few audio issues though which some might find distracting, but for me didn't really have a negative impact on my enjoyment.

Another wonderful recording

As always Eckharts use of language is eloquent and guides you to a deeper understanding each time he offers us a new recording.
Please do not listen to the reviews about poor sound quality. The sounds are more often than not the beautiful sounds of a rain storm.
If you listen to your mind/ego then this will only rob you of this wonderful message. For those bad reviews may I suggest if you cannot go to the silence underneath the sound then try excepting the sound and the isness of what is. Choose again who guides you.

Amazing tape.

it is a tape of a seminar that he ran and is excellent. It is hard to describe but listening to it is like a meditation. If you like Tolle you will like this tape.

Unfortunately VERY bad recording

Hello
I’m really enjoying audio books, as I walk a lot.
This one however has a really bad recording. Tolle you can hear from a distance, the audience laughing is very loud, so turning it up doesn’t help.
I cars pass me by for instance I can not hear anything!
Would it be possible to receive another and better version? Have been forcing myself to listen, but today I decided that this is not working for me to enjoy this book.
Thank you
Sincerely
Marian Jenssen

Wonderful as always!

Listened to this in just 2 days! It was brilliant, my only issue was the audio and a tiny bit of the editing.

Recording quality is terrible

As usual all Eckart's books are amazing, however it's it's very disappointing of audible that they sell for a lot of money such poor quality audio when you are able to find the same book/lecture in much better quality for free in YouTube
