Cured from anxiety

As someone who has suffered with severe anxiety, panic attacks and agoraphobia for more years, this is the first review I've ever written for an aid in the disorder. I would encourage sufferers to give it a chance. I have felt hopeless, like nothing would ever work for me. I've tried so many things over the years with no success. This book has given me a completely different outlook and I am making real progress for the first time. Listen to the audio book, download the free app. This is good stuff.

Excellent book

This book works, plain and simple. I'm not saying it will work for everyone, but it works for a person like me who responds well to mantras, concise directions, and affirmations. I particularly like the section that talks about "why" we have panic attacks, how they are a natural response to stressors, and how we can "control" our responses. This book changed my life for the better, 100%.

Well written book about anxiety

I found this book to be very helpful along with the audios that are good for meditation and relaxation. The four-step process takes time and practice, but it's helped me to think much more clearly. It reinforces things I've read and talked about--somehow, it just clicked. The community support is also great. Anxiety is just a bunch of energy that has to be redirected to positive action. So if you need something to help you out of the mire, this is a great place to go. Take advantage of the book--read it many times--listen to the audios .

Helpful book

Still recovering, but so far, this book has helped more than anything else. It teaches you to accept the panic and be excited about it instead of fearing it and trying to distract yourself from it. You face it and welcome it instead. I should mention I haven't had a panic attack since listening to it a couple weeks ago, so I don't know if it will hold up when I do. It is helping me not panic in the first place though.

dealing with anxiety

I use this text in therapy all of the time. It's a great audio book for helping the client gain a better understanding root causes and thoughts related to anxiety.
It's also great for home use as well for those not in treatment.

really loved it

This guide was recommended to me by two therapists I've worked with. It has changed the way in which I view and deal with my anxiety which up until now has been a life long struggle for me. I highly recommend it to anyone who suffers from anxiety or phobia issues.

good to listen

This book is great! It covers in depth descriptions of how anxiety and phobia disorders work, what causes them, and most importantly, how to live with them. There isn't always a way of making them go away, but if you learn how they are created and how they work, you can just about eliminate the symptoms and problems they can create.
This book is well written. The language is simple enough for anyone to understand, yet detailed enough to provide insight and treatment ideas for professionals.

better life....

I would like to rate this at a top rated book.
After 15 yrs of therapy sessions, my attention was turned to this book.
Most of the things were brought up in other sessions but this book brought it all together. It has made a big change in my life in such a positive way. I finally feel I am on my way to a more satisfying life

Interesting

I'm not a big reviewer of items but I wanted to say this book was extremely helpful in understanding some of the behaviors I was doing that we're causing and prolonging some anxiety and stress. I was able to put a name to these things I had started to do (I.e. negative self-talk) and learned how to counter and stop those things. I learned a ton and I'm finding this book quite interesting and empowering. I would highly recommend checking out this book because it really has some great information in it and the cost of the information by buying the book is very much worth it.

really works.....
