While anger is a normal emotion, when it goes unmanaged, it can wreak havoc on everyone else's life, including your own. Whenever you are unable to control the fits of anger, the end results are often destructive, leading to problems in personal relationships, at work, and overall affecting your entire existence. Anger can damage your relationships and health when you don't express it at all, if you express it unsafe ways, or if you express it at the wrong time.
When you eliminate negative thoughts and energy from your life, you'll feel a sense of calm an inner peace like you've never felt before. But this is the power of negative thinking - when you turn your negative thoughts around, you actually create more energy and power that moves you into the direction you want to go in your life faster than you've ever moved before. We argue to protect our viewpoint when we could just as easily let the argument go and be happy. Learn how to reprogram your mind and subconscious habits and never have another unnecessary argument again!
In this series of talks, clinical psychologist Dr. William Davies explores how anger and irritability affects us in different ways and sets out effective strategies to reduce feelings of irritability and become less angry.
It's easy to identify rage in people who lose their temper at traffic jams, unruly children, unresponsive coworkers, and unrealistic bosses. But we may not recognize more subtle manifestations of anger, such as being uncomfortable with loose ends, acting impatiently, or being overly critical. That is anger, too. And, as is so often the case, angry folks don't seem to realize that the behavior causing them problems at home or at work actually stems from unrecognized and unresolved pain and emotional injuries from the past. Is all this negative emotion inevitable, or are there choices about how to respond.

Life can be relentless, frantic and exhausting - but it doesn’t have to be this way. This is an introduction to Mindfulness, which reveals a set of simple yet powerful practices that you can incorporate into daily life to help break the cycle of anxiety, stress, unhappiness and exhaustion. Mindfulness is based on mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), which is recommended by the UK’s National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence and is as effective as drugs for preventing depression.

Anger is a toxic emotion. When allowed even occasional free expression, it can seriously cripple one's personal life and also the lives of people exposed to this "poison".
If you have a problem staying calm, and even only occasionally resort to anger, this program is a necessary tool for you. Learn privately on your own. The only thing other people will notice is how pleasant you've become.
A very effective and easy to use programme. I found it changed the way I felt and acted within just a few days and with very little effort. Highly recommended. Why not give it a try? It only takes eight minutes a day and you can listen during your commute.

This is a very good recording, it is a every day listening. It could it be longer, giving more details on how to manage our anger, but this is meant to be a short self therapy, and it turned out to be a good self control technique.

This audiobook is very helpful if not essential for me. I am grateful for concrete steps to help me be the person I want to be.

This is a really incredible program. I have tried many Anger Control Programs in the past, but none of them worked, except for this program.
Using down to earth and effective techniques, it was amazing how quickly I learnt to control my anger.
I really love the way the program only requires you to listen for 8 minutes a day, this was very important to me, as I have a very busy schedule.

Simplicity must be the ticket. There are basic concepts presented in this program that are easily grasped and get right to the core of it. They are not the concepts I had earlier heard which did little to assist.
With this program, within two weeks my family is awed at my newfound calm. My closest relationships have entered a new dimension. I urge you to try this program if you are prone to outbursts over calm in some situations, as I was.
As to the earlier review comment, this program is not God-based. "God" is mentioned I think one time in the program. There is no leap of faith required.

This program is concise, very well constructed, easy to listen to, very dynamic in its approach, and a very good daily program.
8 minutes each day per session and I often do 2 sessions and sometimes all 3 because they are so short and easy to listen to. Session 3 is so relaxing, I often find myself dozing off at its close. Just Awesome!

What disappointed you about Anger Control?
This author treats anger as always destructive, and an emotion to learn to aviod. His simplistic approach is not compatible with most mainstream schools of thought. This audio book will likely cause more damage to an already confused sufferer of inappropriate expressions of anger. Anger is just an emotion. How we choose to use anger determines the goodness or badness of it. This fact is ignored this author. Larry, LPC-S

What could Abe Kass and R.S.W. have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
I bought this hoping for a quick and insightful look at anger -- hoping to get a nugget or 2 to use with patients I see. not much there
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
for this I spent money. i was not expecting earth shattering in 45 minutes, but, in reality, this could be condensed down to 2-3 sentences. Having said that, MANY of those who reviewed this book, REALLY liked it
not me

I enjoyed the content. It has helpful exercises that one can do frequently, however, the background music was loudly harsh (my first reaction was that it has demonic-like undertones). My headphones could have been on a higher volume than I needed.
The narrator's voice was also too harsh for the nature of the exercises presented. It was good for the narration of text but a more soft and relaxed voice would have been more appropriate for the exercises.
I would still recommend this for others interested in anger control.

This is more relaxation than anger control. It should be listened to when angry as it will make you laugh.
